Just had one of my few brain storms :b ...................how about organising a k9 fun day?If it could be held somewhere central,maybe at one of the racing venues,a lot of us could come.

If we had a dog show,racing etc & any other activities you can think of, we could raise quite a lot of money!

What do you all think?

don't know yet Helen,a lot will depend on people's responses to this idea.

Well you could run it along the same format of our southwest whippet funday. But its not that easy to organise and requires quite a bit of equipment I'm afraid .

We have:

Sausage & spoon races

Fun agility

Fun dog show

Trial lure coursing

Long jump

Of course cake stalls, tombola, raffle etc etc

But perhaps just some of these events that require less equipment would be feasible. Maybe some of the racing clubs would be able to help out with the racing

Great Idea Debs, I will definitely come. I can provide some prizes etc, I'll call in a few favours from my suppliers and they can provide some prizes as well. It could be a mega brilliant day. Please respond everybody then Debs has some idea of what you all think.

It sounds like a great idea.......I'd love to hear how you would decide on when and how to use the fund. A commitee with a majority vote sounds like a good idea.

Well done for the enthusiasm, I hope it all goes well and if it isn't too far (Fynn is a terrible traveller...STILL, we would be glad to come and give our support. The ground at Nympsfield may be available, just on the edge of the midlands. You would have to ask Hannah and Chris (strike whippets) or possibly the field at Gloucester that the Gloucester PWRC use is massive. Judy is club secretary of that club and could be a[SIZE=21pt] HUGE [/SIZE]help
