Here's a few pics I took yesterday. It's still less than a week since her last operation - you can see where she's had all her fur shaved off, just when it had started to grow back again. :(

Jonah is not getting too close as she's just biffed him across the nose a few times!

Its so nice to see Katie up and about. Poor little thing - is she OK now, will she have to keep with medication? Very relieved for you that she is looking well.

She's not on any medication at the moment, but I think she will probably go back onto Fortekor, which keeps her blood pressure down and helps the kidneys. I don't think she looks particularly good in the first two pics, but she does look better in real life than in the photos. :) But the vet's very pleased with her at this stage anyway, which is good.

looking at her you wouldnt think shes just been through two surgeries :huggles:

shes looking really well gillian  and carnt believe her age  i wouldnt have thought she was a day over 2 or 3 :huggles:

I agree with you Trish - for a nineteen year old cat who has had surgery, I think she looks remarkable  You can see she is a well loved cat - she is very pretty

I'm so glad that Katie has come through the operations. She looks lovely, I wish I'd met her when I came to yours. She reminds me so much of my old cat, I'm going to pm you some pictures of her now

I think she's all the more amazing as for the first few months of her life she was a stray feral kitten, born to a feral mother, so the fact that she's survived all these years really is remarkable! When we first had her she wouldn't come to us at all and was terrified of most things. It took months to get her to come to us, and it's only really in the last few years that she's allowed us to pick her up and cuddle her. But she's probably all the more special to us because of the effort we put in with her at the beginning. :huggles:

aaww Katie is a little darlin :)) im really pleased that she has come through this surgery and i do agree she looks amazing for 19 :)) :)) :))

Wow look at her, you would never guess she was an old girl :)

She does look absolutely amazing - what survival spirit she has! :D

I'm hoping that my hyperthyroid cat, TC, will look as good as Katie does when he reaches 19
