kiplin always seems to go back for more,so he must like the challenge

 Yes, we've had the odd scene like that too, although ours is very prim about it :* just a load hiss followed by a square pat on the nose (with claws fully hidden) if he ignores the first warning, at which the monster just grovels before her. She's much better at making him behave than any of the rest of us. :b

How old is Kiplin now?

kiplin will be 14 weeks this weekend, toilet training is going great and he as stopped crying through the night only because he now can get up on the sofa where the girls sleep in the back room.

he as woken the girls up a little, keeps them on their toes

 poor kiplin, in the last pic your brian looks like a panther!! (w00t)

Those bloomin cats  , they do like to be the boss dont they.... :- "

great pictures

Awww poor Kiplin. Ruby had a rather nasty telling off from one of my cats the other week - wouldn't have been so bad if she'd hair!!! (w00t)

Kiplin is remarkably brave - Zephyr received one slap round the face when he was eight weeks old, and he has never needed to be told that cats are in charge ever since. :sweating: He would cross the road rather than challenge one!

all you can hear is the thudding of his feet on kiplins face  but brian is too brave , when hellybobs came to visit with inca and dippy they where in the back garden and brian saw them ,he jumped down to them both with his hair standing on end, luckily i got there before inca and dippy got brianated

LOL Pat, I remember that but Inca still wanted to have a go (w00t)

I think she'd have been a bit upset if Brian had got at her :- "

Aww poor Kiplin - I can feel those cat scratches from here!

DeeDee says she has every sympthay too, as our cat Saffy likes to give her a good bashing every now and then! When she was a puppy Saffy would punch her (claws in, like a thwack!) from one side of the hall to the other :(

DeeDee ADORES her though, and the greatest thing in her life is when Saffy deigns to sit down next to her - which is getting more often I've noticed since it's been getting colder -think she's discovered willing whippies can be a warm comfort in her old age :D

(Yes that is a cat, not a walrus that's wondered in through the cat flap by mistake ;) )

i love seeing the piks of cats and whippets together

I didn't realise that Kiplin & Jonah are exactly the same age. Jonah will be 14 weeks on Saturday. He attacks our cat too and jumps on top of her. She's 18 and I feel a bit sorry for her as I'm not sure if she wants to be bothered with a little whippet puppy at her age. But she does hiss and lash out at him. I wish really she would give him one painful swipe to his face which might make him leave her alone! (w00t) She's outlived a number of cats, has lived in 5 of our 6 houses and has had to cope with first Josh (our last whippet) arriving, then Muffin and now Jonah. I bet she longs for a quiet life!

Here's a picture of her taken 2 years ago.

I love the pics of whippets and cats too, but cats are a definate no-go for us

Devon's instinct is so strong that pain is no deterrent to him at all, he would kill anything from a wasp to a deer, given less than half a chance, he really cannot be trusted with anything other than dogs

I think it comes from not being too bright :- " bless him :huggles:

Kiplin is so like our Magic.

Daisy [cat] used to beat dandy up unmercifully.

Magic can get away with murder!
