well done Mum   and to you Mike, they are gorgeous

lovely pups  ,congratulations to you all

Hi Folks,

I have just lost the little one. He was half the size of the rest and it seems mum kicked him to the far end of the box. One can't beat nature I suppose. Still I feel awful right now. I have a soft spot for the weaker pups.

I must say I love the other litters put on this thread, they look just the ticket.

Mike

I'm sorry about your little puppy Mike, the rest look lovely, healthy babies, the very best of luck with them.

Jenny

I also find it very hard when i loose a puppy, but there is usually a reason for it. By the way we have lost one blue girl from the multicolour litter i posted above. She was also half the size of the rest and Bess, the mum made up the numbers with the yellow squeeky toy. If I left it out after cleaning out the whelping box, she would not settle down until she found it and brought it back. Who says dogs cannot count? :)

Just concentrate on the other fat healthy pups. :luck: and we are looking forward more pics.

Oh Mike I am so sorry! :( I know as you say that you can't argue with nature but all the same it does'nt stop you feeling sad. We just have to think in this case that mum knew best. I am like you though and always love to see the underdog come thru and do well.

I hope the rest are continuing to do well and mum is too.

Can't wait to see more pics, especially to see if my prediction of color is correct? :- "

Hi, I am new here, :)) and spotted the thread about the Blue puppies and so had to look , and say hello. I have one whippet puppy called VERA, love her to bits, she is 7 months old..

Is there somewhere I can introduce myself and VERA...

or do I just pop up now and again and say hi

Also need advice, as it is getting cold, live in Yorkshire.. and she needs an exercise coat , where do I buy one ?

Thanks Henna o:)

Hi Henna and welcome to K9

On the subjects of coats there are lots of threads on these pages regarding different ones and the links to the people who sell them, but you can also buy them quite cheaply from ebay, and as for the "hello" just go on to General Discussion Whippets and start a topic on there and introduce yourself and Vera,we also love pix!! ;)

Hello Henna,

Welcome to the Whippet world. There you have been brought into the scheme of things. Do try and and learn a much from the ones that have been in the breed for many years. I so do dislike the folks that come out have a dog for a couple of years and do a bit of winning and suddenly they are experts. Well my interpretation of an expert is an ex is a hasbeen and a spert is a drip under pressure. lol.

This happens in all breeds not just Whippets. Ask thousands of questions put your girl for all to see on a piccy in a new thread and just tell us all what makes you tick. If you can and you live near an expert , maybe they will take you on as a pupil. Tell us where you live and you never know. Go to shows and try and get to match nights which will socialise your girl and you'll get advice as well I live at South Elmsall and there are many clubs in Yorkshire.

Regards

Mike

Lovely stripey blobs too :- " We thought they might change , thats one of the benefits of being in whippetst many years , you know when they are about to fool you with their colours . Looks like there might be a solid fawn in there too , bit hard to see from those pics

Arnt they just lovely
