i am not that passionate about lure coursing at all i am interested in the real thing but as everyone nows its against the law all lure coursing to me is a fun day out to meet people and have a good time.but to others it is more which i respect,i was under the impression that ten pounds was the going rate to enter [but i do stand to be corrected if i am wrong] what i am passionate about is people trying to do some good where whippets are concerned and trying to introduce newcomers to our chosen sport, there was a few new faces there at the weekend and they were very interested in running there own whippets in the future, all this will do is make them think about whether its all worth it.sometimes opions are best kept to ourselfs,as it doesnt always come across as it is meant to be intended over the net.
Good post Darren, I am the same as you mate, the real thing will always win hands down with me as does my rabbit control activities
Lure coursing will only ever be a bit of craic and a chance to meet people, when the ban is repealed I know where I will be spending the wet windy and cold days in the autumn and winter, and it won`t be chasing a carrier bag
