There is one little trotter left from a cuddly pig that Misty had. Despite the fact that she has a toy box full of toys, this is now her new favourite.
It’s so so soggy and slimy! :D

Have U tried un-stuffed toys, or firehose toys?
Sturdy toys w/o squeakers don't demand to be "killed" as much as the ones that shriek when bitten.

I'd discard that bit of trotter, as it's small-enuf to swallow. // Does she consume any stuffing or other pieces?
U might see it in her feces.

She’s had unstuffed toys, doesn’t make any difference. Never heard of firehose toys? She won’t swallow the trotter, it’s her prised possession! She doesn’t eat the stuffing, just throws it around the house and garden for me to clear up!

assuming U're in the UK -
Fire Hose Dummy Durable & Floats with Bungee Cord Dog Toy

that's an interactive firehose-toy, made of recycled / used firehose, but it's NOT for leaving around, available to the dog for chewing - the 1st bit gnawed off would be the throwing-loop. :(
IMO, stuffed-toys are also in the "put away when humans aren't playing *with* the dog & the toy".

these are chewies -

Soft Strong Bone TPR

Nylabones, antlers, cow-hooves, sterilized bones, bull pizzles, etc, are also good chewies - durable items, altho of course, bull-pizzles are edible, too.
A Kong stuffed with part of her next meal & frozen solid makes an excellent hunk of busywork. ;)
