I know it might seem like a strange thing to do, but after a while you do tend to think of the folk on here as your friends and I need to put in words how Im feeling right now. DEVASTATED is the only word I can think of..... my lovely little old mum passed away this morning at 6.30am. She was very frail after years of looking after my dad who had been very ill for about 8 years and who we sadly lost last year. We thought now would be my mums time for a bit of TLC and a bit of freedom (she wouldnt leave my dad) to get out and about but since dad died she has been housebound with her own health problems. Last week she picked up alot and said she had never felt better and even visited old friends (with help of course). On Tuesday she had a pub lunch with her neighbour but complained of a headache so she brought her home. By the next day my mum had suffered a massive stroke and yesterday the doctors told us there was little hope.

My mum gave everything she had for others - her house was always full of visitors, friends, relations, their children, their childrens friends the list goes on.....

she cared for and loved them all.

Thankyou for letting me share this with you - I just want folk to know how special she was. I was honoured to have her for my mum. R.I.P

i know how you are feeling, i lost my dad a year ago today aged 52,he died very sudenly and we never got to say goodbye, keep your chin up and let them live on within you. :huggles:
