Three years ago i bred a litter of 7 lovely coloured pups. I hadn't undertaken this lightly and don't breed often ( once every few years ). I put a lot of thought into my lines, wanting to produce good, strong coloured pups and the resulting litter was everything i had wanted. I had, so i thought, been really carefull about selecting prospective owners, all the pups were healthy, i had talked about resposible ownership, etc, supplied puppy packs food and fact sheets, told the new owners that i was always on hand to help no matter what and made sure that i delivered all of the pups safely, to thier new homes even driving as far as kent ( from lancashire ).
Last year the blue boy that i had sold, Rolo, sired a litter and i went to see them, they were a nice litter of pups and I was really taken with one of the dog pups, Otis, and i decided after carefull concideration to have him. Otis came home at eight weeks and was duely de bugged and wormed, the result was three days of passing and spewing worms :x  HOW HARD IS IT TO WORM PUPPIES!!
I went round a couple of months ago and said Rolo's skin wasn't looking that good and he said that the vet was treating him for it. how i wish now that i hadn't left it there!
Now this guy has two bitches and is breeding back to back litters,He contacted me to see if I knew any one who would want one of the two remaining 15 week old pups.
Concerned I went round and there was yet another litter of ribby pups on the ground, the two bitches were trying to kill each others pups, Rolo still had the skin complaint and was living outside in the yard in a partially covered run with no dry bedding and little cover from the elements. You can imagine by now how that i was beyond angry, so i went back with some heavies with the intention of removing Rolo.He must have sensed that i couldn't leave it because when i got there he had moved Rolo to another location and wasn't going to tell me where.I removed the two pups and i have organised an RSPCA visit.
In hindsight maybe I should have called the officials in immediately but at the time I was angry and all i could think about was getting by boy back home,
Because of this awfull man and despite the wonderfull homes the other pups went to i will never EVER breed a litter again.
sorry if i have ranted a bit
