My Whippet's Sister...

Question for black whippet experts: a couple of the pups were browner than the others - looking closely the base of the hairs was fawn, the tip black. The breeder thought they'd grow out into full blacks, but I'm rather keen on it staying that way as with this one:

What do you think?

Hard to say; I found my fawn Whippet puppies were born with lot of black through their coats and then lightened as they grew. But I think you will be able to see in couple of weeks if they are going more brown or turning true black.

Don't rush into Elizabeth.....I am of the opinion that a dog just jumps out and choses you, not t'other way round. Give them a month and all will be blindingly obvious  :p :luck:

They'll all have gone by then :(

After long, ongoing discussions with OH  (plus my conscience re. letting a breeder down after reserving one in advance :b ), we're going to stay with the one we'd booked for next spring - James prefers the breeding/type of the other coursing-bred litter, and is up for a Gelert junior in the distant future. The timing is better too, going into the summer rather than the winter. And they will have a littermate nearby to play with too.

Very hard to turn a puppy down. I have a nagging worry the booked one be a small litter and we'll be back to square one, but at least then I can blame Fate.

  :D :D Then we'll be getting one from the same litter :D :D :D :D I'm really pleased now. Roll on next year.....................................................

Can you tell me whose pups these are - the little bitch I lost last month was a Bluestreak and the adults in the photos remind me so much of her that I would like to know more about the pups. Many thanks. Jacks.
