well after my exam yesterday, i got up this morning and my oh's car has been broken into :rant: :rant: :rant:

passenger side windoe is smached, sat nav, and dvd sterio thing all gone,

thankfully he dead locks the car so they couldnt open the doors, as he had his tool box and some games consols that were in the boot for him to take to his shop to fix, were stil there. and they missed his ipod in the glove box as it was hidden under some paper :sweating:

so just waiting now on the police, who said they will "try" to get out soon :rant:

so thanks guys for all the luck you sent me yesterday it did the world of good :- " :- "

Oh no Katie, that's bl***y awful, people that can do this make me so :rant: :rant: . My son's car was broken into about 2 months ago, they nicked his stereo. :rant:

Oh Katie, that's just awful. I know how it feels, it happened to me a long time ago. I had to sell the car, it didn't feel the same after

thanks guys, oh has been on the phone to the insurance all morning, and the window will be fine hes just to go get that fixed (£60 excess) but the sterio and the sat nav they've been asking him to send them the original boxes and manuals and recipts (indian call centre) so after an hour argueing he has got through to some one english so hopfully they will see sence. only down side it the excess on the sterio and the sat nav is £200

but iv told him theres no point in getting a good one again cause who ever did it, i think will watch it to see what goes back in, so whats to stop them doing it again

im so glad my car just has the original tape deck (w00t) (w00t)

why not make sure you dont leave the sat nav and the stereo in the car in the future,that way if they do break in again you wont lose anything valuable? :thumbsup:

that happen to my dads car when it was parked outside the house, elisha was a baby and id left a plain black shoulder bag in the back

anyway id of loved to of seen the little gits faces when they opened their bag of loot up the road :- " :- " the bag was full of nappies and bum rash cream (w00t) (w00t)

like i said guys not my car, i only have a tape deck :thumbsup:

but the sat nav could have been taken out, he never uses it anyway, the stereo in the other hand was one of them dvd ones where you turn it on and out comes this screen thats been hidden away, and to put that in and out every day would be a nightmare its was held in place with about 10screws, and a cage and all sorts to suport to screen when its out. so who ever did it came prepared as they havnt damaged any of the dash.

you live and learn i suppose, need to invest in a nice [SIZE=14pt]LOUD [/SIZE]car alarm that will stop them :cheers:

katie tell him to get one of those stereos that have a front that comes off or one that completely comes out of your car when youre leaving it that way theres nothing there for them to take.its an awful fact of life these days that people get killed over silly things like a burglar breaking into their house or car its just not worth it .goods can be replaced, people cant.

speaking of alarms in one of my trade publications last year was a company advertising a taser for your car.it fits across the steering wheel and if anyone touches the car it emits a message telling them that 500,000 volts of electricity are currently now surrounding the car and if they touch it they will be knocked unconscious by the voltage,and an alarm will sound.im not sure if theyre legal but it was a full page advert which doesnt come cheap so i dont think theyd have paid out so much money to do a full colour ad if it was illegal.i was seriously thinking of stocking these.
