What can I say, I'm a sucker for a sob story.

We have a 1 yr old male JRT moving in with us on Tuesday. His owner was looking to get rid of him cos her health is going downhill and she can't get out to wlk him, plus the "kids have lost interest". The wee thing is skinny, you can count the ribs, and lives out all day, coming in at night.

I went to see him earlier last week then brought Willow down to see how they got on... Really well It turns out. :) I went away to think about it for a few days and decided to take him on.

We called round today for the kids to meet him and give him a worming tablet in preperation for the move. He was raring to go so we offered to walk him, much to the delight of Willow and my kids.

We are looking forward to Tuesday when He becomes our dog.

Awww, bless him. Wishing you much pleasure with your new boy. He is a lucky lad. :huggles:

Well done Evie, and Good luck :luck: he looks a lovely lad.

Well done for stepping in, he looks lovely will be much better off with you. :) :)

(Not that I'd ever fall for a sob story myself, of course :- " :- " )

Well done you  and good lick with your new addition :luck: :luck: :luck:

Best of luck, he looks settled already from the pic :D

Good luck. :luck: Hope they become the best of dog pals. Look forward to hearing how things progress.

That is a lovely story. I am sure you will be very happy together.

awww they look good together, :))

what a nice ending :))

Thanks guys. :)

Himself and Wills get on so well, you'd think they'd spent a lifetime together. Of course Wills just loves having company and the fact that he has loads of energy to play the whole time with her means she's in her element.

I had them both offlead today and his recall was excellent, even with other dogs around to distract..... I think the fact that I had treats in my pocket helped ALOT, lol.

So I will be driving you all crazy with pics of these two once Tuesday rolls round.... If I can get them to sit still long enough for a few photos. (w00t)

Lucky little lad to find you, just as Willow has!

Can't wait to see all the pictures once he's settled in! :huggles:

Does he have a name, or are you going to change it?

I just went out today to get the tag engraved for him.

He is currently called Patch, but we will be changing it to Archie. New start, new name.

Lovely name :huggles: - they get used to new names amazingly quickly - my last rescued dog was called Lady and we changed it to Solo, partly because she was the most UNladylike of dogs :- " , but also because she was a cruelty case and they often connect their name with a bad experience, such as being hit :(

he looks absoulutley gorgeous!! well done you! i think u r an inspiration to people, taking on willow and now this lil fella. :) good luck :luck:

lucky archie,im sure he will love getting spoilt, youve picked a nice name for him too, suits him. good luck :luck: :luck: :luck:

Love the name Archie  hope he settles really quickly.

Is it a bad sign that I'm more excited about this little guy coming tomorrow than a hot date tonight? (w00t)

(Mmmh, perhaps that's cos I know which man will be still there for me in a few years time. )
