Sykes was one year old Wednesday..Teddy is 8 months old ...
Took them for a weigh in yesterday Sykes was 38.9 kgs ...Teddy was 35.6 kgs ...Teddy has put on 17kgs in 4 months:eek::oops::eek::D:p:p
Although he is 4 months behind Sykes he is only 2 inches shorter ....
Teddy is a destroyer like no other puppy we have had ....he has even chewed through wire around the pond .....
Hoping he will calm down with time ...
They are the most affectionate boys ...we were considering adding a female later but we will wait until next year when we decide about neutering them .....alot of rescues will not rehome a bitch with un neutered males ....we may not even add anymore but it does seem very quiet and empty at home ...we have had 5 dogs for 15 years but with ever rising food and vet Bill's it has made us think twice :(

They are lovely. Such relaxed hounds. God knows what they’re thinking.

Are you hoping to have both?

Aww, lovely! Goodluck with picking one!:)

Take them both:rolleyes:

We kept two girls from our last litter and they were easy together.
I don't know if I could be brave enough or maybe stupid enough to have litter terrier sisters,. Eeek !;)

Sadly we wont be getting one of the lovely jacks as there is a discrepancy where the pups come from :(:(

And they have been docked too, well that's a bonus.;)

Sensible decision!
You are bound to find the right puppy, take your time.

Yes we looked for working Jack's as they are legally docked but there is alot of talk that the pups are bought in ..sadly we have tried rescues but many wont allow us to adopt because the boys are still entire even though they are too young and we may not get them neutered anyway :(there is so much discrimination against people with un neutered dogs :p

I guess the problem rescues have is that they don't have the resources to check that you are choosing not to neuter for good reason, and that you are in fact responsible owners. Especially now post COVID, when there are eejits that think a Jack Russell crossed with a deerhound would be ever so cute.

Is there also the thing that white coated animals are more prone to deafness? Sounds really sad if they have been imported too, so many are these days and at too young an age sadly:(
All of my albino ferrets have not had great hearing, I can see it in Iggy now, when he hears a sound he'll stop and work out where it's coming from before he reacts, he seems to hear higher pitches better... good luck with your search!

As you are probably quiet aware, all of our girls are entire too. I am not a believer in neutering either sex just because it is convenient.
I honestly believe that entire animals/dogs are far more level headed if they have their hormones intact.

Well things happen for a reason....the lady we bought the boys from was looking after a friend's plummer terrier and she gave birth to 3 pups ...her owner hadnt realised she had mated with his whippet ...
So we can have a pup ...they just want good homes ....a mini lurcher ;)
