I think you have made such a sensible decision.
It is so nice going out for walks or even in the beating line when you have a dog, or dogs who's name does not have to me mentioned whatever they may see.
We still always re- enforce the words NO or "leave it" if we see an animal that is worth chasing, but so very often the dogs have seen it long before us and don't bother about it. (I know ours are not lurchers) but they do see other ground game.
It is nice and you can enjoy a peaceful walk without having to worry about what they may see next.
We do however have a couple who we have to keep our wits about, Sophie who is 13 and deaf! (she likes to track the deer) and Sprinkle who thinks she can do any job a lot better and faster than any of the others, (she never goes beating) PHEW!
It is sometimes too easy to keep another and another. Your 2 are still puppies at the moment and you have plenty of time to get another when the time is right for you all.

We are fostering again ...picked this little girl up on Saturday....she was dumped along with 2 cocker spaniel mums with 10 babies 5x 9 week old cockapoo pups and 5 x11 mth old pups all emaciated and matted with faeces 
They put on weight ...10 have been homed and she was only one left in kennels....very sweet just very frightened.....clean in the house and amazing with other dogs ....dad must have been a mini or toy poodle as she is tiny ...6kgs .....

Oh the poor thing, just look at those eyes :-( I'm glad she found her way to you & hope she soon finds her forever home.

Its baby steps but each day she tries to be braver ...doesn't stay in her open covered crate ..goes behind the sofa when I am busy and when I.sit down she joins me on the other end of the sofa...she is such a sweetheart...

Tilly walked from the garden into the lounge through the door ...this is such progress as she has only gone into the garden and toileted then would hide waiting for me to go and get her so for her to come in on her own is wonderful...

What a difference a week makes ...she has come out of her shell more...having a pamper groom next week by my friend...

She’s absolutely gorgeous. Do you choose the potential forever home? Not that I’m volunteering - much too old to take on a pup. I’m sure that people will be beating a path. She’s a lovely girl.
