ok so i have four new pigs which i have intro'd to my existing two.

the four new pigs have very short hair due to being in awful condition and running alive with two different species of lice and mites and so i shaved them to remove most of the hair and parasites.

they are currently enjoying a regime of shampooing and spraying to improve their condition and remove the remaining visitors.

they have been intro'd to my other two pigs now and one of these now has a few visitors but the other one doesn't.

the decision to go ahead with introductions wasn't taken lightly ( i did discuss the implications with my three friends who are all vets lol)BUT the new pigs needed to be introduced in order that they could grow up together as a herd and had i waited longer, i know from experience i would have been lucky to get them to accept each other...even now they are a tad quarrelsome.

anyway here they all are...

the dinner queue..

Brilliant... :) I once had a GP with very bad mite mange years ago....he completely went bald (w00t) , but after his special bath ..think I used Tetmasol in those days  and lots of attention his hair did eventually grow back.

Hi

I am getting a couple of piggies this week long haired ones. Really looking forward to them coming as i havnt had pigs in the shed for a couple of years. I use to breed them but gave them up to concentrate on the rabbits but couldnt resist two girls when they were offered :- " Hopefully both preggy so looking forward to lots of babies real soon :huggles:

Awww - they're lovely. Your post has reminded me of my guinea pig I had when I was at primary school (several decades ago now!!! :( ) His name was 'Perky the Guinea Pig' - never just Perky but always Perky the Guinea Pig. He was such a wee character - used to love to sit on my knee and watch TV! I love the picture of Holly - she's so cute. Good luck with the introductions and hope they're all back to good condition soon.
