hi all need some advice please....ok today we went to see a whippet as per we were really excited as when we spoke to the lady on the phone all sounded gr8...when we got there she took us outside to the back of her garage where she kept the girl...there was also a boy they are brother and sister both age 4yrs and both fully intact...the girl called lady came out she was very sweet but the poor love didnt seem to respond to her name she also had a bad cut on her leg it was very cold and neither of them had a coat also lady is in season the boy wouldnt even come out of his kennel...then the woman said both were pedigree and papers were on table in house if we wanted to take the girl it has worried us as the dogs seem to be afraid of her and she told us she does not like dogs!!!! she would very happily have let us took both of them there and then without even asking anything abt us. both of the dogs need there jabs and obviously the girl will need spaying and the boy neutering she just seems to want rid of them and she didnt seem to want us hanging abt either it was like you have seen her take her....we have come away feeling both sad and angry sad for the poor doggies and angry that someone has got 2 dogs that she obviously doesnt want or care for....our concern is if we take on the girl and it doesnt work out what do we do?? also the poor boy we cant take 2 we simply dont have the room we really dont know what to do they are lovely dogs in the wrong place they just need some love a gd bath and some clothes on...we did take a pic of them both but have no idea how to put it on here so will get my son to do it when he gets home from work.....the woman lives in norfolk and really wants the dogs to go although pedigree shes not after money she just wants rid...any advice please????

Mmm does sound as if the dogs need to be away from her as soon as

possible but i can understand your concerns.

I can offer to help out with fostering if you want to get them from her

but it would just be fostering as i have decided now is not the right time

to take on a third dog.

Let me know if i can help you in any way :))

They sound as if they need to get away from that owner.

I think you should take the whippys on at least you know they are safe then.

Good luck, keep us updated. :huggles:

:( Oh dear....sounds like they could do with some help....

please let us know how you get on....those owners dont sound like they have a clue...

as a dog lover, i could not of left them there. i wouldnt of needed advise on that.

you want to take on a bitch and annsa has offered to foster the dog untill a home is found for him, sounds ideal for the dogs if you ask me.

shame your so far away from me , id haave taken them both , sounds like she dosent care

hope everything gets sorted out :(

I dont think i could have left them there, i wonder if she bred them or she bought them in.

Did you get a look at the pedigrees ,because maybe the breeder, if she didnt breed them would have taken them back ?? :(

its because we are dog lovers that we didnt just take them and go...we have to think of our dog it wouldnt have been right for phoebe to come home to find 2 new dogs in her home and we have to put her first...also the girl is in season and therefore cannot go with her brother it needs to be done seperatly you cant put both in a car 2gther....but make no mistake as dog lovers we are going back..we will be going back 2morrow morning and are making arrangements for both of these dogs to be removed.

will attempt to put these pics on for you hun, dont worry we will get them out :huggles:

aww god... :(

what lovely dogs too, :huggles: thanks for putting the pics on Tanya.

hope they get a home soon, they dont deserve to be kept like this.

we have a plan :- " !!!! im hoping to get to help get them both out somehow tomorrow, my biggest fear is with the girl being in season she will be taken by anyone and bred from straightaway :(

i think we will all have to sit back and wait for kat and lorna to update us all and go from there

if we could start some sort of foster system for areas around the country via k9 im sure it will help other dogs in need even if this one goes nowhere , what do you think?

Well i would always help out with fostering if i could

Im sure there are plenty on here that would do the same.
