Well done to all concerned , I too think the breeder ( if known ) should be informed of what has happened to 2 of her whippets , I know I would .

And could we be told in what area these were taken from, so we know to be extra wary should these people try to buy more dogs . please

Just caught up with this thread.

Well done all those that were involved  What gorgeous darlings they are

It getting too much of this going on :(

I,ve before Christmas reported someone who had a numbers of litters kept in appalling conditions, one of the whippy belong to someone i knew and to cut a long story short, she has done everything in her power to try and get her back, the RSPCA are involed and Whippet Rescue.

WONDERFUL news, and fantastic teamwork by all of you, - you are stars!

It's so good to see these two dogs with happy faces.

It's just a shame she wouldn't let you take the little terrier too as he must be feeling lonely now. :(

Thank goodness there are people who care.

Since i've joined this board in the summer, ive read of so many people going out of their way to help dogs in need. Its really great to hear about this, everyone is so kind. I hope the girl and phoebe get along and all works out and the boy finds a loving home soon.

What great news to think these whippies will be getting their forever home soon :luck: :))

Well done to all concerned  :huggles:

Oh, what a great outcome. Well done to Tracey, Kat and Lorna. Can't wait to hear how the meeting between Lady and Phoebe went this afternoon. :luck: :luck: :luck:

I am so relieved this tale has had a positive outcome.

I feel extremely sad for the dogs to be in a position where they were no longer wanted, and at least the woman advertised them.

They could have been stuck for years in a situation where they got hardly any attention, just got their food and water. She did at least make the right move - although she didn't go about vetting homes in a responsible fashion in a way that we K9ers would have done ourselves if we had to rehome an animal (the outcome could have been a lot worse if the K9ers hadn't facilitated the dogs' removal (w00t) ). Well done to all concerned.

I can only echo what everyone else has said so far.

What a great ending  and what fantastic people you are doing all this for those dogs... :huggles: Its brilliant... :) :) and guaranteed to put a smile on anyones face....

Well done...  cant wait to hear the outcome..

Congratulations to you lovely people what would we do with out people like you around  I hope they will settle with some one real soon  :huggles: they look very happy and contented  :huggles:

I am so pleased these dogs have been removed from a situation in which they were unwanted, BUT, and I know I risk being shot down in flames, Kat and Lorna (Argos1), joined this forum wanting to rehome their existing whippet because of Lorna's health problems.  After offers of homes for Phoebe etc which didn't work out someone (can't remember who) offered foster care for Phoebe.  Then, suddenly they want another whippet!!  Sorry, call me a cynical bitch but this, to me, is not the ideal situation.  I don't dispute that Phoebe is much loved but, adding another whippet to the equation when you previously joined the forum to rehome an existing dog?
Sorry if I upset anybody here but these are my feelings!!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I had wondered the same myself.

I can only imagine that the situation has now changed, which is obviously great news for kat and Lorna and they are now in a position to offer a permanant home to both Phoebe and another dog.

Well done to everyone involved in helping these 2 whips out!

a lot of hard work must have gone into rescuing tiggy & lady

i bet Tanya and Ann you are now relieved they are safe :huggles:

Great to hear Lorna's surgery was a success

Can't wait to see some photo's of your new baby - assuming all went well with the meeting :huggles:

now now ladies lets not get started :huggles:

i can understand the post lal put on , we didnt know that the operation was a success so please dont turn this thread into another argument.

im not having a go at anyone , no one is wrong , just misunderstood :D

very pleased lornas surgery has been a success :luck:

its crossed wires so move on

this thread is about two poor dogs that have been saved .

well done evryone involved in the rescue and i hope lady and phoebe got on :luck:

Completely agree with you Sharon.

My post was not intentionally nasty or bitchy. It was only natural to wonder about it, when the last I/we knew was Phoebe needed to be rehomed.

It is fantastic that the situation is now different and Lorna is making a recovery and that not only can Phoebe stay put but that she can have a new friend too!
