DOES IT REALLY CONCERN YOU WHAT WE DO WITH OUR DOGS IF YOUR SELLING YOUR NO LIMITER WHY ARE YOU SELLING IT ANYWAY IF YOU DONT MIND ME ASKING

think my number is on the post graham if i wanted to discuse it over here i would not have put my number on.thats why its says NO TYRE KICKER think u know wot i mean bye that.and why it bothers me is iv been in this game along time and all i can see is arguement after arguement and the sport going down hill so the quicker people sort it all out the better SOMEONE MAY COME UP WITH A GOOD IDEAR WHO KNOWS.And what gets me is that if a dog/bitch as run all season on the straights and then runs the bends for more points and some one that only runs the bends and takes the points.well i think its a big out of order.soon they get the whippet traps on the bends the better (MY OPPINION)

I WILL AGREE UP TO 50LD NO LIMITS THEN OVER 50LD SUPER NO LIMITS THAT SOUND A FARE ANSWERS TO SOLVING THE PROBLEM

my opinoin for what it's worth .

i don't want whippet traps at a bend event, also i would'nt like to see the big dogs capped after all you still get dogs over 50lb out of whippet x greyhound, all iam against is using a dog that's whippet x greyhound to a full greyhound or vise versa how can they be classed as whippets no matter what size they turn out. :- "

I can not think of any other breed where you would keep the smallest back for breeding every time. In most cases and I say most cases the smallest is the runt of the litter, this does not make it the weakest but with the yard allowance system you can be fooled in to thinking you have a stronger dog than you think. If you have a litter of say five pups 18, 20, 30, 40 and lets say 50 lb people think "lets keep the 18 and 20 lb, they're proper whippets". The fact is the other pups have as much chance of breeding small because they have the same genes and are in my opinion the better breeding stock.

I also think if we are going to use greyhounds for breeding then we should not be seen to be capping dogs as suggested by some peopl,e why would anybody want to keep a pup for the first year of its life and find its great runner then get rid because it as gone over the weight or size and as there is no where to run. Thank god this as not happend YET.

I have just put my 35lb dog stag possessed to a greyhound and was looked upon as a naughty school boy. This would have been ok if i had used one of his litter mates of 18 or 20lb the pups are now 14 weeks old and there is not one that looks

like making a no limit. Infact, the one i've kept is 11lb at 14 weeks dog pup.

Good luck, Gary. :luck: :p

how can running no limit dogs and sratch dogs effect the up to 32lb whippet classes. simple answer it cant. all it does is promote the sport as the sratch classes are getting bigger and better

LEAVE WELL ALONE

:D GARY

FIRSTLY IF YOU ARE SO CONCERNED ABOUT THE FUTURE OF WHIPPET RACING WHY ARE YOU PERSECUTING ONE OF THE LARGEST CLASSES? SECOND, ALL SCRATCH RACERS PAY THE SAME MONEY TO RACE, MEMBRSHIP ECT AND GET **** ALL BACK, IE A BROWN ENVELOPE AND YARD PER POUND GET TROPHIES BIGGER THAN THE DOGS. JUST GIVE IT A REST AND GET ON WITH YOUR OWN DOGS AND LEAVE SCRATCH ALONE FOR ONCE THEY DONT RACE YARD PER POUND DOGS SO WHATS IT GOT TO DO WITH YOU? DEBBIE

You'll have to come to Dawdon. The last open I got trophy's for 36 scratch, 40lb plus no limit plus a sup. scratch. The reason being i agree the scratch dogs are always left out. Which reminds me I still have the trophy for bully beef. He went before the presentaton.

well debbie its got nowt to do with me know more cos im out of it as another one bites the dust in a long line of others coming out of the sport.and all i ever really watch is the scratch racing to those who know me.So good luck just hope it does not go tits up for you all and hope a few more do not come out of it.

Wish I could get a big one Harvey was suppost to go 36 or over but at 15lb at 16 week's I carn't see it. And cindy who is half greyhound I carn't see going over 30lb. Hopefully cindy will make a lier out of me.

WELL I WILL TELL YOU ALL NOW IF THEY CAP THE SCRATCH RACING I WILL PACK UP FOR GOOD

SO THATS AT LEAST 10 DOGS GONE FROM RACING

AND IM SURE OTHERS WILL FOLLOW

GARY

u haven't had a dog running for a while George :- " cant see why your so narky about it :)) if you had been at the last 4 or 5 opens you might have a different view it is in my opinion getting better and better  but people wanting to cap the no limit are the ones it doesn't really affect  im sure some 40 or 36b for that matter are good enough to take the no limit on :)) tell me a no limiter that could of beaten son of a bitch i cant think of one or casino :- " so really size shouldn't come into it i think wanting to cap the no limit is coming from thoughtless people that dont really think it through and i dont mean u George :p  just my opinion  if graham only wants to run the bends thats his choice same as people only wanting to run straights, hope you stay with racing George we need it to get stronger and more positive  NO LIMIT means NO LIMIT wish i had a decent one .like it just as much as yard a pounders but the cracks better with the scratch
