Another busy evening at the club. Thanks to Dennis for driving the lure from an early start as there were lots of trials. Lurchers did'nt race but they made up 2 and 3 dog trials between themselves. Whippets raced 160 2ft/lb and always with this handicap there were some very close races thanks to Lee for judging. Dare ya Too won the A final for the second week running, coming right from season from Gill's Mon Ami also starting to get it together out of season. Well done to Kath and Dennis doing the double with Louis's Hannah Montana winning the B final and Try Once More the Cfinal. Hope Paul and Yvonne are having a good holiday up in Scotland.

A very hot and muggy evening for racing and although people had traveled through thunder storms and monsoons to get to the track we never had a drop of ran all night. l'm beginning to think there's a sign over Poolsbrook saying "dont rain here"lol. The track has been well watered plus the pull up is soaked on race days, which l think the 20 dogs racing tonight appreciated. As usual we had lots of trials Les gave Brian's 2 pups their 1st handslips and he was very impressed with both, good luck to them and all the others. Racing was 160yds/lb. The 3 h/weights in the handicap made a 32lb scr race rather than giving a lot of yards away, leaving 13 in the handicap.

After racing we had a drink in the welfare to celebrate Chris (Jacksons) 60th with a yummy chocolate birthday cake.Well you wont tell us your age, so we had a vote and we've come up with 60 lol

Glad your getting results for your hard work les it tricky time of year with all hot weather nice see track been watered hope be up soon lots night shift for me this month get few pound back in pot see soon lyndon

10 whippets and10 lurchers racing on this very wet and windy evening plus loades of trials. Even though we all finished up wet through, the rain was most welcome as we have'nt had any for weeks and it gives Les and l a rest bite from watering. Good luck to members who have had pups born recently, John and Marie's Gypsy x Chunky 2 bitches 3 dogs. Lee,s Spot Black x Tinkerman 2 bitches and Joyce's Calamity Kate x Just Friends 1 bitch. Well done to Dave and Brenda doing the double with Comin Thru winning the B final and Deneside Beau the scr race, you could call it a treble as they won the raffle as well lol

how wet was it we shot of as our smoke had a fall on the grass and was a bit shock up ended up at the vets today with a swollen knuckle hopefully its only bruised

if no improvement after his anti inflams then its an xray.. and no running for 2 weeks good help us....
