We spent last week visiting in-laws and parents in Devon and Cardiff. Muffin & Jonah had a great time running around the beaches and fields. Here are some pics.

Admiring the view over Paignton.

Muffin giving me a bit of a look - don't know why!

We met a little whippet called Blue. They enjoyed running about together.

Jonah thought he'd have a drink - couldn't have tasted very nice as it was sea water.

Something smells nice around here. :)

A short video on the beach at Barry Island. Jonah has decided he loves to chase the birds and he shot off at the beginning of this video after a seagull. :teehee: followed very quickly by Muffin who didn't want Jonah to have all the fun as usual! :- "

Lovely holiday photos.  I never get tired of seeing whippets running on the beach.

It was Goodrington. My parents-in-law live about 15 minutes walk away so it's great for the whippets when we go to stay! :D  Just a shame about the long, steep hill back to their house! :- "

well i think our parents must live near each other, is that the fields on Roselands - i was walking there everyday with my lot last week.

Goodrington is one of our favourate beaches - shame we didnt see each other.

It is a shame we didn't manage to coincide! :( The fields were at Preston, just by Occombe Woods. My in-laws live in Wheatlands Road which is quite near the Leisure Centre. We don't get down too often these days (and never in the summer!) as it's quite a journey from Manchester but the dogs certainly love the beach when we do go.

small world, my sister lives in Preston - a couple of roads away from Occombe Woods -

We go down as often as possible but same as you never in the summer - my parents come up to us then.

Glad you had a nice break - it looks a lovely part of the country to go

and wow hasnt Jonah grown (w00t) hes a tall lad now and his colour is so handsome

It was nice to see their little friend Blue, isnt it good to meet new whippets. :) it was lovely to see them running round the beach together. oh and really liked the one of Muffin on the sofa

My word! Jonah's grown! (w00t) Both boys looking very handsome   and the pics are fab!

I was told that a couple of "foreign" whippets had been seen in the fields at Preston Down - that it my usual walk as I live just around the corner from there! At least it looks as though you had quite a nice day for it - just try walking up there in an easterly gale with the rain lashing sideways.

Georgina - is your sister the lady with the pretty fawn bitch and loads of little people who walks there about 8 in the morning?? If so, my Woody adores her dogs!

Gill

He has grown hasn't he (w00t) nearly as big as Muffin now! It looks lovely there, I love it on the beach with the dogs but with the great expanse of sand before them, why do they always insist on running straight for your legs

Lovely piccys, glad you had a nice time, especaily in the Westcountry

Looks like Muffin and Jonah had a great holiday  Great beaches for whippies to run on

Glad you all had a great time. Nice photos...I like the silhouettes. :)

My in-laws used to live in Teignmouth. That red sand is quite distinctive of that stretch of coast line isn't it?

Lovely to see Muffin and Jonah having a good run round on the beach...I bet Jonah gives Muffin as good as he gets now. :teehee:

I'm not allowed to take the boys to my in-laws. Muffin and Jonah certainly look like they've got their paws under the table at your in-laws there :p

Jonah is just about as fast as Muffin now and I don't think Muffin likes it! (w00t)

The paws under the table are at my parents, not the in-laws! It's a nightmare going to my in-laws as my father-in-law won't let the poor :- " whippets on the sofas at all even though my mother-in-law is quite happy and loves them. The house is also very, very cluttered with books and videos and medicines all over the place - there isn't a single surface to put anything down on! And the garden is definitely not whippet proof. :sweating: So it's not a relaxing time at all trying to keep an eye on the dogs. But they do enjoy the beaches! :D
