This is hard to type but this is going to be Parker my beagles last Christmas. He will be four on the sixth of January.
He had been having fits and it now appears they were due to brain swelling, although he is on drugs the illness is progressive and we are now waiting until Jan/Feb when the swelling will return and his fits will start again.
There is a limit to how much the vets can do for him and even if he goes on steroids again, they affect his behaviour and so do the fits.
The last fit he had a few weeks ago has done some brain damage and he has regressed to displaying many puppy behaviours which although endearing, they are confusing him a bit.
He will likely be put to sleep in the next few weeks, before he deteriorates and loses his quality of life.
Any way here is my lovely boy.
