My beautiful girl jumped a barb wire fence last night and spent the evening in surgery. Apparently she is lucky to be alive as they dont know how she missed the artery and i wouldnt have been able to have got her there if she has. She is feeling very sorry for herself now, even though she never stopped wagging her tail at the hospital last night. And now i am stuck at work till i can get cover feeling sorry for myself and worrying myself daft that she will come to harm when i'm not at home with her. Sometimes i wonder why we have them cos when it goes wrong it seems too much hard work!

Well after the longest day at work (even though i left very early) i came home to a bouncy waggy tailed monster! She's not eating and refusing antibiotics but the wound is looking good now its cleaned up. Shes had a check up and the drain comes out on Sunday. Shes not to have painkillers till tomorrow as she will have been injected at 11 last night but i think i will judge that later.

Thanks for all the good wishes - shes getting so many hugs. While its the scarest thought in the world right now i cant wait to let her off to run again.
