Poor Horses And Donkeys

:( omg thats shocking ,how many poor animals have to die at the hands of these bar**** before anything is done :(

i saw this and i find it utterly disgusting ,lets hope the law gets it right this time    scum there nothing but

Yes I agree they should shoot the ********

Poor animals hope the ones they can save go to good homes :(

i heard that a lot of the horses are so scared they cant treat them yet so theyre going to try to do what they can for them untill they can calm them down and treat them. :( i believe theyre in a very bad way from what i gathered on the news tonight and the rspcas site says its the worst case of horse cruelty theyve seen. :(

I ALSO SAW THIS MAKES ME REALLY ANGRY    POOR ANIMALS :huggles:

more news and pics of horses rescued by redwings horse sanctuary and others.i see the barsteward who is the owner and is being prosecuted for this comes from a 'travelling' family. not the first time weve seen first hand stories and pics of cruelty from travellers, but how many of them are prosecuted?hope they throw the book at this guy for what hes doen.if you read this it sounds like this has been going on for some time.as for the woman who phoned him up to come and get his dog back im afraid i wouldnt have rang him id have kept the poor dog or found a good home for it.

Wendy Ward, 32, a housewife who has lived in the village for more than six years, said she had called the RSPCA three times over the past year expressing her concern over the horses at Spindles Farm.

"I could see terrible cuts and gashes on them when I looked at them from the edge of the fields. Heaven knows what their injuries looked like close up.

"I've called the RSPCA three times - and not just about the horses.

"I've found dogs owned by Gray's family in my back garden clearly suffering malnourishment and terrible leg injuries whimpering in my garden."

"He would come to my house to pick them up at two in the morning screaming abuse at the dogs.

"Once I saw his son-in-law whipping a pony while riding on the trap.

they knew he was starving the horses and dogs and yet despite phone calls and complaints nothing was done until all these poor horses and donkeys had suffered and died

no animal deserves to be treated in this way, I especially hate the fact they are shipped across the channel to be sold for meat. What kind of a person can live with all that suffering around them?

Off to give my pony a big kiss and a herbiball :(

agree with you totally Rae.most end up in italy about 80% and by the time they get there its a nightmare.ive seen pics of these transporters being unloaded with pregnant mares, dead and badly injured horses foals and donkeys. :( its would be so much better for the horses to at least be slaughtered here(and i know a lady who did her training in one of these places and its done humanely and painlessly)rather than have to go throught the terrible journey they do before they are finally killed.give your pony a hug from me hun. :huggles: hes a lucky one

THE OWNER NEEDS SHOOTING THE   THESE POOR HORSES AND DONKEYS ,WHAT A WAY TO DIE.THE LAW NEEDS LOOKING INTO,THE RSPCA NEEDS TO SAY AGAIN ,WE HAVE GOT IT WRONG YET AGAIN ,I HAVE NO FAITH IN THEM AT ALL,AND I SHELL BE WITH DRAWING MY MONTHLY PAYMENT TO THEM.FROM LADY P,

this man is evil beyond words   , however , i am sick of hearing the same old "i reported this to RSPCA" this is happening all over the counrty and nothing gets done about it  its time the likes of these "animal charities" had to take responsibilities for their failure to act on this horrific cases

i recall calling both the police and rspca as i watched a man kick a foal to the point of death , my sister and i were frantic trying to get help and calling everyone to help us , we were around 10 and 12 at time, im sure dunno on here will remember mr holmes and his animals  men went to try to break in the yard to save the foal ut sadly were too late , the RSPCAs answer was " we cant stop someone chastisting their own animal on their property!!! bollox!!! they were scared!!!

God no words....how aweful....

these people are criminals...

The RSPCA?? Good at fundraising, good at supporting the government in banning hunting but try to get hold of them if you witness true animal cruelty - forget it!

Poor horses :( Scary to hear that a lot of them were microchipped which means, at some point, they were treasured by somebody. I find that really hard to deal with, same as the fate that befalls so many failed racehorses who live like lords until they cannot do the job for which they were bred. :(

Unfortunately chances are that these horses were either stolen or sold privately therefore microchips would never be checked (worth remembering if ever you are having a horse vetted with a view to purchase, ask the vet to scan it so that you can check if it is chipped and with the legitimate owner?) Not sure if horses are routinely scanned in UK abbatoirs, they certainly should be.

Sorry I feel sick to the pit of my stomach!
