:( Ozzy has been to the vets today - yesterday he saw a fox in the garden so tried to leap from the top of his kennel onto the chair on the other side of the room for a better view :- " Trouble is he landed awkward on the arm of the chair and today he isnt happy at all  There is no swellings or lumps and bumps or bruising, but he is walking very strangely, his legs are trembling and he is very wobbly on his back end. The vet thinks he has soft tissue damage and that he will get better over the next few days. I hope so - She gave him an injection of painkiller and anti-inflamatory and some painkillers for home. :( I hate to think of him in pain :huggles: Is there anything else I can do to help him?

:( aww poor ozzy :huggles: ,hope hes feeling better soon sending him lots of gentle :huggles: :huggles: :luck:

Ouch, poor little chap :(

Keep him nice and warm - especially over his back and haunches where the damage is and make sure he rests for the next 2 or 3 days to give it a chance to repair

Give him lots of gentle :huggles: :huggles: from me :) Hope he gets better quickly :luck:

Poor Ozzy :( , my shiba did exactly the same thing last Christmas but it was the Postie he saw at the window . It took him a good 2 weeks before he was back to near normal . Hope Ozzy is on the mend soon :huggles: My vet prescribed Metacalm and it seemed to help .

:huggles: Thanks everyone for your kind words and advice. Im really worried cos he seems even worse this morning, and I know it sounds silly (maybe Im paranoid - I have lost 3 of my oldies in the past 12 months) - but his eye is twitching very fast all the time??!! he didnt eat his breakfast this morning and he is very drooly. Im ringing the vet again at 9.00 to see what they say. Hell, I wish he could talk so he could tell me where it hurts. :(

he may have a trapped nerve have you got an osteopath you can go to a lot of us use Robert Meeks he travels round the country his number is 07773327353

:( Well, just back from the vets again, had to leave him there cos theyre going to do xrays, he drooled that much in the waiting area there was a big puddle by the time we got called :b - then just as they were taking him he was sick on the surgery floor :x Poor lad, he looks so miserable :( :huggles:

Did he hit his head at all? Just wondering because it sounds like he has nystagmus (involuntary eye twitching) - if he was feeling dizzy with it, it would make him sick. The very best of luck :luck: with him, and do let us know as soon as you get any news :huggles:

Hi, To be honest I dont know if he hit his head or not - I just heard the crash and he jumped up so quick because he was more interested in looking at the damn fox :( The vet asked the same question...If only they could talk :sweating: Im so worried.

oh sorry to hear about ozzy,i hope the vets get to the bottom of whats wrong and get him sorted poor lad :huggles:

(w00t) ....Oh NO not little Ozzy... :(

I do hope they find out whats wrong with the poor little mite soon..sending you both some hugs and good luck.. :huggles: :luck: :huggles: :luck:

Ozzy is back from the vets and at the moment asleep in a duvet in front of the fire :huggles: Vet did xrays and ultrasound scans - nothing broken but showed slight bruising in his pelvis and the enzymes in his liver were higher than normal but the vet said that is usual in dogs that have been in a car collision or had a really good knock!. His eye is still twitching really fast all the time, and he is still really wobbly - so was I when I asked how much it would have cost today if he hadnt been insured........£670.09p!!!!!! and that is so far, cos he goes back on monday :(

Thanks for all your good wishes

Tina and Ozzy

I'm pleased to hear there's nothing broken

Fingers crossed now that it is just bruising to the soft tissue and nerves and that it will repair in time, with rest and TLC :luck: :luck:

:huggles: :huggles: for Ozzy

Well after a very restless night (me - not Ozzy) there is no change to report Im afraid, he is very wobbly on his legs as if he has no coordination and he is still twitching. He is on Metacam, one dose in the evening. :( If you didnt know he was only 1 yesterday you would think he was a very doddery old dog :'( Next step on if no improvement is an MRI scan! Im worried to death and cant believe how he has gone from being the cheeky bonkers baby to shaky wreck.

Oh Tina, I'm so sorry :(

It does sound as though it is a neurological problem. I hope it turns out to just be bruising to the nerves and Ozzy recovers well :huggles:

I'm sending lots of positive thoughts your way :luck: :luck:
