15 stitches & almost 2 inches long, one guider had to be removed as it was entirely snapped, hole through to the bone where a small artery had popped out, luckily the artery had not be cut in any way. Blaze was under heavy sedation and is still sleeping off the sedative now - wrapped in a sleeping bag to keep her warm. Kerri has snuffled, licked and mothered her then curled up to sleep with her.

We go back in a fortnight for the stitches to come out.

Thanks to all that asked about her, Mum has lost £40 in wages on top of the Vet bill, it has been an expensive day.

Sorry to hear that Fleesh I hope that Blaze is feeling better soon.

Get well soon blaze :huggles: :huggles: :luck:

Good Morning all - finally got some sleep at 2am. Blaze had eaten her dinner and finally had a drink she was pretty out of it most of the evening and rather upset with herself as she wet in her bed because she was too out of it to get up :( .

She woke up at 4am wanting toilet and climbed back into her bed feeling very sorry for herself. By 7am she was laid on the end of the sofa snoozing :D .

Loosened her bandage this morning at the foot was beginning to get puffy, the stitching looks great but she isn't ready for putting her foot to the floor yet, preffering to run around on 3 legs  .

Lunch break today looks like a trip to the shops to replenish the doggy first aid kit, I always used to look at mine and think it was maybe a bit OTT or un-necessary as it only ever got used on injured people at racing. Glad I have it now all those "OTT" bits and pieces come in handy in a chrisis  .

See you all sonn,

xXx

Hello Fleesh I do hope that Blaze makes a full recovery and back racing soon.

Also, hope your Club were all kind enough to get a collection towards the your Vet Bill - sounds as though it was an expensive day's racing

All the best Joan
