As some of you know I didnt keep one from my last litter as OH said 10 is enough :( and I had hoped to keep Richee :( , well to cut long story short I found a show home for him as I thought he looked a good show prospect ;)

When they took him it was agreed he had two testicles (Ruth came at the same time for Konna and we all checked together ) Now 4 weeks on he only has one and the family no long want him , :( So Ive just fetched him back . as all my pups are sold on the condition that should they EVER be not wanted , for what ever reason then I will have them back here . o:)

Hes back as if hes never been away , a happy little chap full of character , but what i now need is a Pet home for him , Born on Jan 25th he is now 11 weeks old .

So if any of you out there know of any one wanting a well adjusted , happy little whippet boy , please get in touch . BTW he is fully inoculated too

I will take a couple of snaps later

Aww sorry Jacquie about little Richie :( he was gorgeous too  Hope he finds that special home very soon. :luck: :luck:

poor baby :( hope he finds the perfect home soon :luck:

Sorry for my ignorance ... but does this mean he cannot breed now and thats why they dont want him - or can he not be shown now??

Oh no, poor Richee :( I've not much knowledge of dogs testicles  but is there no chance that it will appear now? Can't vets do a simple procedure to push the retained one down - like they do with humans (my OH had it done as a little boy, which im sure he'll be thrilled i've shared with you all  )

Seriously, i hope Richee finds a lovely new home soon and im glad he's not fazed at being back with the gang. :luck: :luck: :luck:

not sure on showing, but its frowned upon to breed from a dog with testicular difficulties, as these are (usually, not always) hereditary. dogs with these problems are usually castrated, as undescended ball/s can become cancerous later in life :(

Sorry to hear things didnt work out for Richee, hope he finds a good home soon. :luck:

IMO you diserve a big pat on the back for taking him back, i think ALL of us who breed should do the same when problems arise.

IN MY LAST LITTER ONE OF MY BOYSM DIDNT COME DOWN UNTIL HE WAS SIXTEEN WEEKS,SO HERES HOPING :luck:

Just took these , hes wagging his tail in one of them , Bless

He is beautiful,  Anyone wanting a beautiful whippet boy for a pet will be very lucky to have Richee

In showing - whatever breed, a dog must have two fully descended testicles.

What a little stunner he is, so sweet faced. Have you had a good rumage around for the missing testicle Jax? If you can get it down and keep pushing it down it might stay eventually. But what a lovely pet boy he would make anyway

You could always keep him a few weeks to see if it appears (w00t) . Your OH might fall for that one :- " :huggles: . Good luck with him whatever happens, he's a handsome chap.

Wow isn't he gorgeous. If you can keep him then I'd try to get them down and there's also a homeopathic remedy that you can get from Ainsworths. I know someone who did this with her whippet and she's still showing him.

Thanks for the tip Beejay . :huggles:

Just thought id leave my phone number if anyone is interested

He is absolutely gorgeous, Jackie.  I was tempted before when you got in touch with me and would really love him now but unfortunately we have decided we'd better wait for a little bit longer as my hours of work are just a bit more than I think is acceptable in bringing up a new puppy. :( And I was so looking forward to Muffin having a companion - I'm really disappointed :(

Oh he is so handsome- such a lovely expression  . Who ever gets him will be ever so lucky- if I hadn't just got Esme I'd be extremely tempted.

:luck: GOOD LUCK gorgeous Richee (though I doubt he needs it)

Awww he is gorgeous. Hope he finds a loving home soon. :huggles:
