We have just had to have our shelby pts. hes had athritis in his back for a few years just a touch but its niggled him on satrday he was lame but still happy so he had his painkillers he seamed a touche better this morning so we decied not to rush him to the vets as theres not much they can do realy and he was pottering about.

He had his tea and standing up and seamed to realy enjoy it he walked in the living room and fell with a thud and was in such pain. I got tony home and hes taken him to the vets the fall and the athritis have damadged his spine and nothing could be done.

He only had his 10th birhday on thursday I will miss my beatifull black singing boy with all my hart 7 years with us was not long enghe

Thanks for qall the kind words were all very much in shock here. We new he had athritis and was lipping abit but carnt beleve from eating his tea at 5pm he was gone in 2 hours. I have just been sat here with hs collar since Tony came back. It was realy surial when itb hapen he fell and was in real pain so i lay next to him and comforted him and carmed him while tony came back all the big dogs just jumped on the soafs realy quiet and the whiipets all lay behined me with there heads resting on my side looking at shelby asif they new. they are all very subdwed now and nobodys wanted an evening walk
