im sat here waiting to assess if we need evacuating!!! i had the call earlier today to advise me to get to safety, but i cant leave the dogs, local police are at the river very close to my house as those of you have been here will know just how close!!! its also thomas`s 17th birthday tomorrow !!! wiggy from here is also very close to the river but they have an upstairs we dont in a bungalow!!! (w00t)

so any persons whom have a rowing boat , with wheelchair access, space for 10 dogs a mad 3 yr old and a very sensible mummy :- " please call me on moile as pc likely to be under water!!! (w00t)

the kids are sorted hun , i wont leave these dogs though , if push comes to shove ill put the whole lot in the car , how , ermmm not quite figured that yet but ill do it? last time we flooded in this area was 1953, so fingers crossed but this is the first time ive been told to get out , usually its just we advise?
 
gale winds force 8 and high tide mixed with a tidal surge of 2 1/2 metres!!! hmmmm me thinks i better get a swimming cossie out!!! (w00t)

Just watching it on the news as well................looks like its

just watched the news and seems the risk is at 7am, i have een asked if i wish to get out as i have a disabled child but wont leave the dogs, all in the kitchen and hall ready to get in car if needed, the area they just filmed on bbc is the village i live in and the pics gilliwigs took when she visited is the bridge in background

sandbags in place and again ive been advised as im in a bungalow to evacuate, i cant leave the dogs im sorry so kids are now being collected and ill be roving reporter for k9!!! :D

will try to get out in a bit to take pics of the community spirit going on , the community centre is now open and all making refreshments etc, the elderly are actually being thought of too!!
 
dunno from here has offered to take some of the dogs as she is very close to me and the kids are sorted too :thumbsup:

Sorry to hear your predicament Tanya. I hope the river doesn't burst, and that you all stay safe up there.

I wish I was a bit closer as I'd take a couple of the dogs for you.
