This morning started off with heavy rain whilst weighing in, so we were all thinking it was going to be a shocking morning but as the programme was drawn the rain stopped and the sun shone for the rest of the meeting. Once again a nice turn out and some really close races, anyway enough small talk now onto the results sorry they're late Carole :thumbsup:

Some cracking finishes in the finals this morning, both the B final and A final were excellent finishes all dogs finishing almost in a line in both (w00t)

Was nice to see Joyce and Connor this morning with Charisma and at last I have seen the little addition she's lovely Joyce :wub:

Spot the ball was won this week by Kev, a good morning for him as Plan B took the B Final too, much to his surprise, can't believe you questioned the 'judge' Kev of course I was sure, but it was an extremely tight finish :sweating:

Another fair turn out of dogs again this morning and some really close races. Was nice to see all the pups wandering about doing the socialising bit, a good few trials too beginning, middle and end of racing today. No one seemed to be in a rush to go home think it must of had something to do with the sunshine. It was nice to see a few of the racers in the club house after racing too, supporting them, I'm always happy to see them in as the Shirebrook Staff are very supportive to us whippeters so nice to to do a bit in return :thumbsup:

A lovely morning once again, nice to see plenty of racers and spectators, I did notice a huddle of lets say 'old' time whippet racers reminiscing days gone by Mr Syson (most of us know), Mr Murray (who raced Quando and others) and Mr Burdett (Owner of Gay Tan) who had gathered trackside and were having a good old chin wag (and no the reporter is not one of the 'old timers yet' (well not quite) information of dogs submitted by mummy dear Pat :thumbsup:

Plenty of pups having their initiation into racing, good to see Joyces Sam have his first slip with another dog (thanks Tod) coming too nicely now after his broken leg last year :thumbsup: Echo and Chaos Rich and Amanda's youngsters having handslips most of the distance now (amazing how they can come on in just a few weeks) :thumbsup: A few trialling and getting back to fitness after seasons etc.

Visitors Ray & Rae nice to see you at club again always nice to have visitors from other clubs and glad you left the rain behind and found the sun with us :thumbsup:
