Just wondering how many different non-sighthound breeds K9ers have between them.

In addition to the whippets we have two miniature wirehaired dachshunds ... I reckon every whippy pup should grow up with a mini dacshie, they have such great games.

What other breeds keep members sighthounds company?

Annie

Well my girls have 2 cats to torment

no other pooches as yet :-

to keep our 6 whippies amused we have a springer spaniel and a cocker spaniel  very busy at our house lol :D

To keep our lurcher and whippets amused we have a miniature poodle pup ;)

We have Bobby (a Collie X we think) who is now 11 years old. I fostered him as a very tiny puppy. He was probably too young to have left his mum (handed in to the vet) and didn't seem to be properly weaned. He was such a sad little fellow at first, and I had no plans to have a puppy at that time as I had an elderly Saluki. :- :- :( Anyway, he stayed with us. I said to OH he would only grow to Jack Russell size!! He hasn't been an easy dog - has big issues with fireworks, gunshot and anything that sounds remotely similar, but he is a lovely boy with a heart of gold.

(w00t) ALL THESE PICTURES ARE SUPERB - WE HAVE 2 WHIPPS AND A BEN- . BEN IS A 14 YEAR OLD BOXER/LAB X. HE THINKS THE WHIPPS ARE SILLY. HE HAS BEEN SUCH A DOG DOG, WITH A FACE THAT IS FULL OF CHARACTER. HE IS A THINKER AND WORKS THINGS OUT, KNOWS EVERY WORD THAT YOU SAY TO HIM. HE WOULD HAVE MADE A GOOD HEARING DOG// OR SUPPORT DOG FOR THE DISABLED. HE HAS SHOWN THE ROPES TO OUR WHIPPS AND HAS TAUGHT THEM WELL- WE LOVE HIM SO MUCH

We have Gus, our ginger tom who we think is about 14. We got him from a rescue and they said he was 18 months but our vet thought maybe two or even three. As my son was 2 at the time we thought it easier if we assumed he was two so we could remember his age - I just have to remember how old Sam is!
