I wanted to share Sienna's progress with all the people who have been so supportive of her, I realise to some these may look distressing but they are quite the opposite, I want to put things into perspective first

Before you watch please remember;

8 weeks ago sienna was totally paralysed from the neck down she could barely lift her head, she was touch and go, on a drip and could not eat drink or control her own bowel movements it was unknown whether this would live let alone walk again, so if you watch this videos please don't be sad be overjoyed like I am :D

The beginning of the long road

Where there's a will there's a way :) having a nosey at the puppies bed.

Walkin to and drinking from a dish (she could only drink from a shringe until a week ago)

I find that very upsetting. I personally could not put any of my whippets through that, they love to run too much.

Aww bless her little heart, she's come through so much.

Well done Sienna your such a brave girl :huggles:

Put them through what? the best medical care and the chance to get well, she will run, give her a chance, its only been 8 weeks, she wouldn't have been running very far if I'd had her put to sleep would she :(

I think I can safely say she's pretty happy to be alive :huggles:

I also found them a bit upsetting because its not nice to see a poorly animal.

However, you can see she has improved so much, so that is happy!

I bet you are so proud of her, especially her starting to drink.

Hope she continues to do well, she is a real fighter and a very brave girl, as I'm sure you are too

:huggles:

Sienna is amazing...what a fighter she is.... :huggles: :luck: :huggles:

Lesley I bet you are all made up seeing her make those steps you thought she would never make.. She will make it I know she will...because she has just the most loving family around her... :huggles: :huggles:

Good luck Sienna....long may it continue... :luck: :luck:

Just ignore these negative comments from people....they dont know the full story do they... :huggles: and god forbid its ever one of their dogs.

what a beautiful brave little dog...it's lovely to see she is making such good progress.

Sienna's a beautiful dog, lesley, i can really see how you must be overjoyed with her progress.

i dont think you can judge someones decision to stick by their dog and keep fighting with them, until your in that position youself..

Hope she gets to run again and have a great quality of life like this dog here

It must have been awful to lose not one but two dogs.

And when you think about what you went through, surley you

could have been a little kinder in your reply :))

:huggles: :huggles: You know how I feel Lesley, I took videos of Ozzy so I could look back and see if he was making progress. You are doing a fantastic job and so is Sienna - it may take a while yet but she is improving all the time  You know your own dog best - and you have given her a chance. :)

To be honest Lesley,,I never thought she would walk again.

This is amazing. She will improve over the coming month's .

She wont race anymore, but run she will

Ive seen dogs,,maybe not as bad as your's and they trotted about as happy as larry :huggles:

Im sure a lot of folk would have pts Colt after his bad accident,,I thought he never stood a chance,,he's running about now,,he wont race, but he's a happy wee man  It's 7 months since his accident.

Go on lass,,get stronger and the next video will be her trotting about (w00t)

You're doing a great job,all the best.

That's fantastic Lesley, you must be so overjoyed with her progress

You have done wonders for Sienna over the last 8 weeks, your commitment and care is just brilliant :huggles:

Sienna is such a fighter and so lucky to have you and your family as her owners :huggles: :huggles:

I hope she continues to improve even more in the next few weeks and is soon trotting roung with the rest of her gang :luck: :huggles: :luck:

That is a fantastic improvement in only 8 short weeks! I'm afraid I don't care how distressing it looks. She has only got this far with your dedication and love and we've heard from all who have seen her (Rae, when you were on holiday, and Julie when she visits) that Sienna is happy and well adjusted. That's down to you and Andy and Jordan! :huggles: :huggles:

Imagine what she'll be able to do in another 8 weeks!

She's a beautiful brave girl and she's lucky to have you fighting her corner for her ... from now on I will definitely be thinking of her as Super Sienna. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more videos as she improves more and more. :huggles:

Oh Lesley - her little face looks Happy - she's doing so well and has her own drive to improve - she's amazing - so are you and your family - I'd admire you so much...still brings tears to my eyes though...but of amazement for her fight - Thank you so much for the update :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

I think you and Sienna are amazing for all the hard work you have put in and in not giving up just because its difficult.

All the best in the future to you both

This was so brilliant to see how far Sienna has come.

I nursed a stray collie who I called Sam years ago who was totally paralysed after a road accident, and I remember the vets gave him 10 days to show some signs of neurolgical improvement or he would have to be put down. :( On the 10th day he twitched the end of his tail and we were all ecstatic. He lived at the surgery and I took him home every weekend, and he gradually improved so that he could walk and run very happily - not always in a straight line, but it didn't seem to bother himi! :p He was rehomed once he recovered in a lovely home, but Sam remained very special to me for the rest of his life. :huggles:

Well done Lesley and family for all the love and nursing care you are giving to Sienna, I'm sure another eight weeks will show another enormous improvement too. :luck: :huggles:
