I've had a rough few days with my mum fracturing her wrist last week and losing my favourite

and most beautiful cat, Meffo, on Friday evening :'( :'( :'(

And now, to top it all, my baby Sox is at the vet having her shoulder stitched up where she received a

tooth gash from one of the others (probably Irie) whilst playing this morning :(

I am about to telephone the vet to check on when I can pick her up and bring her home.

I just hope that there aren't any more disasters around the corner as I feel I can't cope with

much more :(

I haven't been on K9 much since last week because of all this so I must apologise if I've missed

anything ........ I will try to catch up when things settle down a bit here

Oh Jane, really sorry that you have had such a hard couple of weeks.

I am sure Sox will be fine :huggles: . Rocco had the exact same injury a couple of months ago. He has now healed beautifully and the scar is almost invisible already.

I too have felt like you after what has been the most terrible year of bad luck for our precious whippets. I hope that 2009 is a happy and healthy year for you and your whippets.

oh god jane, they say things happen in threes :(

so sorry about your cat i feel so sad with you its never easy :(

we had finley ripped we think with one of the others at the beginning of this year and now they are very seldom off lead altogether because they can get too giddy and accidents do happen :( hope sox is feeling ok when she gets home and sending you and her a gentle :huggles: :huggles:

I'm so sorry to hear you are having a rough time . The loss of your beloved cat Meffo would have been bad enough but now you have the added worry of your Mum and now Sox .

Hopefully your Mum's wrist will heal up fine and Sox will too . They do say bad luck comes in threes so hopefully that's all the bad luck finshed now .

When my whippets were young they were always at the vet getting stitched up and one day it was two of them ! They were always fine very soon after so hopefully Sox will be the same :luck: :huggles: :luck:

Thank you so much for all the good wishes, it really helps you know :huggles: :huggles:

Sox is home, but very, very quiet. She has 6 stitches and because it's right on the muscle

over her shoulder, she isn't allowed any excitement or off-lead runs for 10 days (w00t)

................ we are talking about a 10 month old whippet here :- " :- "

She hasn't wanted to eat or drink anything yet and has just curled up on the sofa and crashed out

again. She doesn't look at all happy.

I suppose they all react differently to a GA

Jinny was the same - extremely quiet for 24 hours

Irie was 100% fine as soon as he came round and so was Poacher

Anyway, I've wrapped her up in a nice warm fleece and covered her up with a furry blanket

so I hope she will sleep it off OK. I keep looking to make sure she is still breathing 'cos I'm so

worried about her :(

Glad to hear Sox is home , hope the rest of her recovery goes well :huggles:

oh jane, im sorry you have had a hard time lately :huggles: ........i hope sox heals quickly :luck:

Awwww, so sorry to hear about all your problems this week Jane. :huggles: I'm sure Sox will feel much better after a nice long sleep - good luck with keeping him quiet. Sorry to hear about your cat too and your mum's wrist - hope it heals very soon.

What a nightmare of a week for you :( - so sorry to hear about your mum, hope she recovers quickly. That is really sad news about your cat, RIP little one. Hope Sox is home with you soon and recovers really quickly. Thinking of you :huggles:
