I have had a few comments some not meant nicely that my dogs are spoilt. yes my dogs have pink coats but they don't know or care what colour there coats are. yes they have a few collers each because I like the designs they not care as long as its not to tight or stiff and yes Indy goes in a buggy when she has broken bones or is recovering from them. you cant expect her to be locked in a pen all day every day and never go out when the others do. But when shes OK the buggy's is never used and I expect her to walk about just like the others.

Indy is keeeped warmer than the rest as she Carnot hold her body heat well and she never even gets a slight layer of body fat to help maintain her heat but I don't consider that spoiling I consider it looking after her special needs.

All mine are feed a well balanced diet there not over weight get lots of exercises and enjoy getting muddy.

So are they spoilt or just well looked after. To me a spoilt dog is one who gets loads of treats even though its over weight and is allowed to run riot with no training or obedience and has no manners.

I would not worry about silly people who would not know what they talk about. Your dogs are part of your family and are definitely well cared for. :)

Your dogs sound loved and well looked after :luck:

To me a spoilt dog is one that is left totally untrained (and often rewarded for 'bad' behaviour) and allowed to make it's owners' and other people's lives a misery. :(

Well cared for Wendy, let not these ignoramuses worry you, you put a lot of us to shame.

cant add anymore then others have but except to say dont let them grind you down, as long as you are happy and your dogs are happy then sod the rest!

Wendy, having seen you with your dogs I'd say to anyone daring to criticise you.... SOD EM!!! You obviously love your dogs to bits & I'd prefer that anyday to some of the sad sights I see brought into the hospital. If it's a crime to spoil your dogs then lock me up too

You carry on just as you are, pity theres not more people who care for/spoil their dogs like you :)

i agree with what the others have said, just ignore the morons, how you look after your pets is spot on wendy im sure, you have there best interests at heart and it shows

wendy if your are spoilt then zeb is as well. Dont worry about want others say. ;)

you know your dogs best.

So long as a dog is well behaved and well cared for; what does it matter how many coats/collars etc it has?

Taking Indy out in a buggy when she had injuries only shows you cared about her mental state, getting out and about rather than rotting in a crate whilst recovering.

To hell with those people that say any different!

I wish I was one of your dogs Wendy :- " - definitely not spoiled -very well cared for!!

Wendy, don't care what people say, anybody who knows you, knows that your dogs are very well cared for.

SPOILT, YES, YES, YES (w00t) I think most of us are guilty of that.

Just one look into those big brown eyes, & we melt.

Of course they're spoilt, isn't that what whippets are for? I know mine get all they want and a bag to put it in, the least i can do for all the pleasure they give me, i couldn't spoil them enough.

Thank you for the replays. I put the post up as I as upset buy some comments I have had recent saying they were all spoilt which made them soft and useless.

The greyhounds I personal think are in fab condition and you wouldn't believe that other than Cally there all classed as oap this year my lads will all turn 10 and the girls 7 even loopy Tallulah the lucher.

Ninny and Lacey I thought were treated the same as other peoples whippets and even with a dodgy leg Lacey's all ways given others peoples dogs a run for there money.

Indy is mollycoddled more than the others but she needs to be. we have her free running every day now which we never thought we would and every time we stand there hart in mouth in case something breaks but she needs to run when she can.

The comments made just really wound me up everyone looks after there own dogs there own way and what suits each dog best I just think its down right cheek to criticise after all I keep my mouth shut about there dogs maybe I shouldn't

Don't take any notice ..... what do they know anyway!!!!

I'd say they are well loved!

Sidney has more collars than I do handbags which is surprising seeing as I got 2 more for christmas lol and I have a different one (if I wanted to) for every day of the year.

He has a bed in nealry every room and a toy box full of toys..... which my 11 year old son has taught him to put back in the toy box (he doesn't do this everytime mind you but Rob is working on it :p with the help of doggy choc drops...... Sidney's favorite) when he gets another out lol

How can you spoil a whippet? ..... it isn't possible....... they soak up the attention like a sponge so how would anyone know :- " lol

I would rather see a happy, spoilt dog than a dog in the condition such as the lurcher/saluki bitch recently rehomed by poshtotty - as long as your dogs are happy (and they all certainly look like they have the best home they could wish for) then put two fingers up to those interferring busybodies who are making such comments.

Ignore them Wendy - silly people what do they know.

I dont know you personally - but your dogs look extremely well cared for  and SPOILED of course - we are all guilty of that - who wouldnt spoil them - we love them of course .
