I went over my mums to cut Wilf's nails and took Tala so they

could have a run around together afterwards. They had a good

runabout in the house and then Tala whined at the door.

Without thinking my mum opened the door a few seconds later

my brother shouted she was in the fish pond, i thought he was

winding me up for a minute....but no there she was right in the

middle with half her neck and head visible above the ice.

Wilf had run up the path and round the flower bed, she had

jumped both and right in it. She was freezing when we got her

out, but rubbing her with towel's soon dried and warmed her.

She's now snuggled up asleep as you can see and i have the

washing machine on the go :*

 Oh dear...poor Tala,

Oscar did that last year .....got the shock of his life and then ran like a dog posessed around the park.....we only caught him when my OH pretended to fall over.he had his coat on,which obviously was then freezing cold so we pinched his mates coat.....his mate then looked at us as if to say "why the bloody hell is he wearing my jacket"

 what a big shock for you both ,im glad she ok xxx

oh bless her, glad shes ok,bet she gives the pond a wide berth from now on :huggles:

I have a fish pond and I think all my gang have been in it , once at least /

Last week five of them when it the lake on the racecourse after the swans (w00t) I mean it was soo very cold , but I couldnt get back to the car any quicker than I did , and put the heating up , then went home and a jolly good rub down . silly b**gers

The little monkey Ann, (w00t) .........so glad shes unharmed and now sleeping it off...

I would love a fishpond in my garden......on second thoughts maybe not...

Poor mite.............glad she ok

She's a nightmare

Since my mum has had the pond we can think of at least

15 dogs that have played in that garden and not one of them

have gone in it.....until Tala arrived.......

what is she like :teehee:

defonately keeping you on your toes :D

glad she is warm and snuggly now,

 What a little monkey, that must have given her a shock - but she looks very happy snuggled up under her fleecy blanket

 Oh no poor Tala and poor you ann !

So glad she is ok  and is now snuggled up nice and warm :huggles:

It could only happen to Tala :- :teehee:

Bit of a shock, for both of you  Really glad that the little minx is ok :)

Poor little soul, and with ice on it too! Grace jumped into mine on her first day home when she was just 8 weeks old. It was covered in duck weed so she thought it was a solid surface I imagine. After that I felt so guilty that I didn't have the heart to make her sleep on her own downstairs so after about 5 minutes of pitiful crying she was up in my bed and has been there ever since :D Hope Tala is happier now.

Poor little sossidge! But the fab cosy bed made up for it, big time !

Our Minnow was MORTIFIED that her foot broke through the ice into a puddle today.

( The Boy doesn't care one jot about the cold, he won't wear a coat, will run all the day long in snow, rain, wottevva. Funny, isn't it?)

Luckily madam seem's to have no ill effects from her icy dip,

and afetr a good nights sleep she is charging around like her

normal manic little self o:)

I bet that was more than enough excitement for one day.
