Hi there

Tarka is doing well, it is now 12 days since the road accident and his eyes are much brighter which is a good sign.

He went to the vets today to have the stitches removed from his back leg. The scar is healing well.

I have been trying to coax him out for walks and although he will do one for 5 minutes a day he is very reluctant. On his 2nd walk today he ended up hopping on his bag leg so I had to carry him home. We hadn't been far.

The vet has advised that his bones are grinding each other a bit so I have to walk him four times a day for 15 minutes each time.

He has given Tarka tramadol and metacam so that he will walk through the pain to build up the muscle. Hopefully this will help although he will have rather drug induced walks!

On Monday we will get Indigo's ashes so we can take her to the new house.

Roger is feeling much better and we have decided that we will get another whippet bitch in a few months once we see how Tarka is doing as he is missing Indigo, as we are.

Thank you Jayne (Haycroft) for talking to me about Peggy last night and her accident and ongoing recovery.

Also Jax (Imperative) for the delicious treats you kindly sent Tarka which have perked him up :))

And everyone else that has been so kind and ask how Tarka is :) :huggles:

Glad Tarka is on the mend big :huggles:

good news ! he's looking brighter.

he must be in some pain and also missing his little friend he's got no idea why she's not there, also I'm sure he feels some of your sadness at losing Indigo.

Looking at some of the stories of remarkable recovery on here, in a few weeks and months you'll see a big improvement

wishing you :luck: :luck: for the best recovery possible.

Once he's up and about, he'll enjoy a new friend's company and so will you :huggles:
