OH had it 99% of the time, and vast majority of pics were blury and well a bit rubbish but at 7.30pm with fading light they were never going to be amazing.

anyway i only got to take 3 pictures, one was a total blur

this was the second one,

edinburgh castle

not the best pic in the world but not to bad for being up the top of a windy hill.

but this pic the very first one im really quite proud off, my mum says shes going to get it printed on to a canvas as it would go well on her newly painted brown wall (w00t)

iv copied this from a site,

Calton Hill is one of Edinburgh's main hills, set right in the city centre. It is unmistakable with its Athenian acropolis poking above the skyline.

The acropolis is in fact an unfinished monument - originally called the "National Monument". Initiated in 1816, a year after Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo, it was meant to be a replica of the Parthenon in Athens, as a memorial to those who had died in the Napoleonic Wars.

the tower has a huge white ball thing that moves up this poll and back down,

i remember my dad taking us up there when we were wee, and he told us that when the One Oclock Gun goes of at the castle the cannon ball flys across and hits the ball pushing it back down (w00t) (things you believe when your kids :- " )

thanks for that info,i would love to visit one day

They're nice pictures. You've got a good eye for a photo and composition. Well done....(and I recognise all the landmarks from my one and only visit last year).

Even your signature line is a well constructed panel of photos

From those pictures Katie, theres nowt wrong with that camera...

I think you are right really, its practise practise....I take loads and only get enough to post and they ae sometimes not always the best.

There are so many settings and so many different ways to shoot photos...I think I will just throw the manual away and get on with it...
