You may recall earlier in the year I asked if you would pm me with contact details of any artists you had commissioned as Phil was having his favourite dog painted as his retirement present from his co-workers. Many of you kindly sent me responses and Phil chose an artist whose style he liked and the artist is Mary Herbert. The finished result can be viewed on http://www.portra.co.uk/Previews/preview1/preview1.html

Phil thinks it is a wonderful portrait of his darling Taffy. Those of you in the know will recognise the skills of Lloyd, who took the piccie of Taffy running and who very kindly gave his permission for it to be used by Mary in the portrait. That particular picture is very poignant for us, as it was the first time he came out of a trap after the car accident! So thank you Lloyd.

The portrait is a beaut, so to the person who recommended Mary, thank you very much indeed.

what a wonderful portrait  :D
Carmel, that is beautiful. I nearly missed this thread, but will be sure to show it to Lloyd later. The artist has captured Taffy's personality so well, it's the eyes, you can nearly see what he is thinking. Thanks for posting this
