great pictures,beautiful dogs

just be careful of the wasps in the fruit.

Lovely pics of your gorgeous boys tucking into their plums. :D

Our plums and greengages have just about finished now, thank goodness! After the thread on poisonous plants I got a bit neurotic about them eating and crunching up the stones. But it doesn't seem to have done them any harm - they only ate 2 or 3 at a time so that must be OK. They are obviously very tasty! :p

My husband has been producing plum jam, plum chutney, greengage jam, greengage chutney and we've had plum crumble etc - we now have enough jam and chutney to keep us going for another year! It's the courgette glut that needs attending to now! The dogs like to chew on them too! They obviously think we grow things just for them.

 Lovely pictures. Dont the plums give them the bellyache?

The boys are enjoying them

 Watch for the stones!! They could cause a gut blockage!

I don't even give mine peanuts in case of this - I know a dog that died from a gut blockage from a hazlenut still in its shell which isn't very big.

Don't mean to worry you but be careful they are chewing them... I'm afraid I would scoop them all up and dispose of them away from the dogs :(

Thanks Fiona

I read the thread on how plums can be dangerous....so I do try to clear them up when they fall

its just they always seem to find a stray one somewhere and it ends up in the house  but dont worry dogs are all safe and present this morning.... :huggles:

I shall be wary too about the hazelnuts too, weve encountered plenty of them on our walks lately too.

Lovely pictures Janis, great to see your lads together Archie has grown so much but he still has that little baby cheeky look in his face :))

It's so hard to stop them eating stuff at this time of year isn't it Janis,Callie eats all the raspbessies in the woods and Kane will fish plum stones out of the bin if he can  he's had a few and been fine, mind you he's probably eaten everything on the 'bad for you' list at some point (w00t) stomach like iron that boy.

His latest is: got a small bag of liver out of the freezer for the ferrets and left it on the drainer to defrost, later that day he nicked it and ran in to the garden, I went after him to get it back and he swallowed it whole in the bag (w00t) that was a week ago  little sod he is o:)

Tell those boys to leave a few for you :D

 Great pics

My plums don't even get the chance to get as far as windfalls :b
