Bean is lovely
Are you sure that Tilly is biting and not just mouthing to try and get her to play?  :huggles:   Tilly is bound to be a shocked, but she will adjust and grow to leve her new sister.

I wouldn't interfere between them unless you think Tilly is being rough with Bean.

Keep the pictures coming!

well i think she is mouthing but mike (OH) is none to happy and thinks bean will get hurt but she isnt crying out or seem to bothered

Congratultions, she is so sweet.

Hard as it may be, leave them to it unless Bean seems unhappy. They will find a level. I watched Archie play fight and mouth Fynn for ages when we brought him home. The bite is usually inhibited and it is natural for Tilly to do this. Just don't leave them alone together, but do take a step back :luck:

Beautiful little pup! Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight -_- :)

Hi Kim

Unless Bean squeals, don't worry too much. Don't forget Tilly is now?/or just has been? in season, and she might try to mother the pup. It might seem like she's being rough, but you should see a mother with her pups! They naturally control them by putting their mouth around the pups mouth, and also round their necks. I'm sure they will be the best if friends very very soon.

Looking forward to seeing Bean at Gloucester when we start racing.

I agree with Jo. You want to supervise play to make sure it doesn't get out of hand but I doubt that Tilly will hurt her deliberately. In a few days time the pup will probably be beating Tilly up and you'll be wishing Tilly would defend herself!! Pups generally get away with murder.

Good luck with her. She's a beauty and I love her name!

She's gorgeous  , I would say lucky you, but I've got one too :D

MORE PICS PLEASE :b

I wouldn't worry about Tilly, she's just asserting her dominance, best to let her get on with it, it is very unlikely she'll do any damage

By the way- how was she on the journey home?

Thanks for the advice  i knew it is best to leave them to it, but mike has been hovering round bean like a mother hen (w00t)

Tried to post some more pics, but they are to big and i cant make them smaller...need help

Bean is sleeping in the cage next to tilly o:) im hoping this will make her sleep all through the night :- "

Bean is beautiful  ours mouthed our new baby, she is eleven weeks now and they all get on fine, she soon lets the big ones know if the are to rough with her. Best of luck with her, i love her colouring she is stunning!!

Here are some pics Kim sent me to post:

Oooooooooh, she is gorgeous! Pity you do not live closer, Bean would be perfect playmate for our Genevieve.

I wouldn't let Bean alone with Tilly, or any other adult dog in this moment. The older ones can hurt the puppy if they get too excited. Our Callista loves Genevieve, but I often have to calm her down when the game gets too rowdy. If Tilly gets bit possesive of the toys, just take them away while they are together. Also, if you give bones, do not let the puppy near Tilly while she has a bone. :luck: and keep the pickies coming!

   Kim she's adorable, how's Tilly with her ? you've given her a lovely name btw

Well tilly keeps trying to squash her and bite her legs  , not hard bean hasnt cried or anything....

She has taken all the toys into her bed and wont let bean have anything, not even the toy my daughter gave her....

Not sure what to do?? Do i tell tilly off for biting or leave them to it??

Awww gorgeous    I agree with the others kim, callie tried squashing Kane on the first day or so and trying to roll on him, (w00t)it must be a dominance thing I'd say, with the nibbling and mouthing they all did that, they were especially inquisitive of his extra bit (w00t) I would just supervise and let Tilly check her out, and let Tilly know she's still special as well :huggles:

The girls were the same when Spry came and after a couple of days it was like she'd always been here, they are still sussing Kane

Good luck with her :luck: :luck: :luck:

Beautiful puppy - welcome Bean (very cute name) I'm sure they will be playing nicely soon. My blue pup (well 14 months old now) was a terror as a baby and I actually had to give the older ones peace by taking her away. All the best :luck:
