meet Tgy,

with a huge help from Jane (jinnyfizz) and the promis of a forever home from Sue (sue burton) this morning we went of to get Tigger now Tyg,

A phone call to the ad last night revealed that it was a young boy who was selling tyg and by young i mean like 10, hence not wanting to speak on the phone i think,

i spoke to his dad who said he was an italian whippet  lovely wee dog, they just dont have time for him, his son had brought the pup home at the beginning of the holidays and him and his wife both work so there is no way the can keep him.

i arranged to go see him this morning and was greeted by 2 young boys, one of which is the one who put up the ad,

they said their dad was in bed and to leave him, but to come in,

he produced tyg from behind a closed door and he bounced out all over us,

the boys then handed over 2 bags of bits and bob and a lead and said their you go,

i asked if they wanted us to send them pics he said "No because we know hes going to a good home"

anyway, hes here now and has drank a full bowl of water, had 2 poos and 2 pees out the back, had a little to eat, and met ruby, star and both cats.

he doesnt seem to know his name at all :( but hes a lively wee thing and seems to have taken it all in his stride,

i have just put him in the crate and he spent a few mins turning and whimpering, the a little longer just looking out, but now hes asleep.

he will be staying with us untill Sue comes back her holidays when we will arrange for him to get down to her somehow lol

hes just gorgeous and im gutted wer not getting to keep him, but im really just glad we could help him get to sue :huggles:

thank you jane for sorting out all the nitty gritty, you are a true star!! :huggles:

here he is, Tyg

Ah, he is a very handsome boy

I am so happy that Sue is having him :D ....... it has all worked out perfectly so far and I'm sure we will be able to arrange transport for him to Lincs in 2 weeks time ........ I expect there will be some K9ers heading down the line for the Cornish Open

Good luck with him, Katie :luck: ....... a bit of an unexpected guest, I'm afraid, but you have been an absolute STAR!!!! Thank you so much :huggles:

He is just gorgeous,

we will be very sad to see him go i think,

nicky, he is rather slim especially his back end, hes been fed on bakers complete puppy food, so i cant imagine it be doing much good,

we only have the adult natures diet so hes had a little of that, untill we can get to the shop for the puppy one.

so far he has been a pleasure to have around,

hes sleeping sound in the crate so hopefully he will be an angle at night aswell otherwise sue will be cancelling her hols :- (w00t)

I wonder who bred him? He's a dear little chap and it's so good this has had a happy ending. Too many whippet puppies being bred, one ad I read had "Reduced due to lack of interest"

Terrible.

the dad on the phone said his son turned up with him,

and the boy this morning said he didnt know,

with out shouting on the dad to see if we could get him up our selfs there wasnt much we could do :(

and considering they thought he was an italian whippet, i dont really think we would have got anymore info out of them than what we got :b

Just wondering if it would be worth putting up a picture of him with a request for information on the Whippet Showing forums (TWF and K9) to see if anyone recognises his type or knows of a litter that would be approximately 4 months old now?

I will try to get more information from the people who had him, but the boy is not fond of imparting information ...... or asking for it (as I found out yesterday!!!)

What a sweet little boy , well done all concerned ,

What a poppet he is!!!  Such a lovely ending, well done to those concerned

He looks like quite a character ... from my Tyg to 'your' Tyg a very bouncy hello !!

What a lovely little lad he is too...  saw these pics on facebook Katie, so I naturally thought you were just looking

after him for a friend till Ive read this on K9....how did you find out about him??

Well done to you all anyway...Id be very tempted ...hes just gorgeous... Lucky sue

Really huge WELL DONE to Jinnyfizz, K4tie-d and of course Sue, for the effort in rescuing this little lad. Words fail me............again.

Anyway Tyg is one of the lucky ones.

What a fantastic outcome.

Well done Sue, Jane and Katie

I was loosing sleep over little Tyg. Living nearby, but being unable to do anything. :( My husband is especially relieved at the news :)

I think things will be pretty hectic in your household Katie for the next few weeks (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) .

I wonder if Sue knows what she is letting herself in for :D (He will probably be an angel from day one :) )

What a weird family setup, Dad in bed and a 10 yeard old dealing with this. Perhaps Dad was making the son take responsibility for his own actions by not being involved.

If the parents were not involved in getting the pup, he must have come from somewhere in the local area.

Isn,t K9 and the Whippet communtiy great.

I am looking forward to meeting Tyg on Sunday at Holyrood.

looks all whippet, not part Italian greyhound. If the 10 year old "just turned up" with this pup I would be afraid someone might be missing Tyg. Apart from that concern, it's great to see him settled in a good home.

What a lovely little chap, well done to all concerned and :luck: :luck: :luck: for a happy and healthy future for him.

well done you guys ;)

get a bit of weight on him and he will be fine  Katie your going to hate saying good bye to that lil lad
