:( just got bk from the vets again as poppy was booked in for 10.10 as shes had a runny bum all night and our vet called us in to have chat about tia ,wen they wer doing her check up they have found a heart murmor she says its grade 1 ,2 at the moe :( they are happy to go ahead with her spaying thou as they would prefer her to have it done sooner rather than late ,to say im gutted is an understatement :(

Awwww, Nicky, please don't fret, hun.

Tia will be fine ..... lots of dogs, and humans, live with a heart murmurs - and sometimes it is just a passing thing brought about by circumstances at the time.

They wouldn't go ahead with the op if there was any doubt so hang in there, and get little Tia well from her op first before you worry about anything else  :huggles: :huggles:

My Zoe had a grade 2 heart murmur which never got any worse than that . She never needed medication and it didn't affect her life or the length of her life so try not to worry too much .

If the vet wasn't happy to do her spay then he wouldn't do it remember that .

Right Nicky, sit down with a cuppa, and do not worry. A grade 1-2 heart murmur is not a problem at all. 1-2 is not bad, and she will probably live the rest of her life without her heart giving her a problem. My Jenna had a heart murmur - not sure when it was diagnosed now, but she lived until almost 16, and it wasn't her heart that made her ill towards the end. The vet will listen to it each time you go in, and if it gets worse there's always medication, but you wouldn't believe how many dogs have heart murmurs and never have another problem with it :huggles: She will be home in no time :luck:

Thinking of you today nicky,i hated those days that much that i only have boys now :b

she will be fine and soon back home, just keep yourself busy and the time will fly by :huggles:

Ahh, thinking of you and Tia.

Good Luck to Tia and try not to worry, as others have said, many dogs have low grade heart murmurs without it ever adversely affecting them. Let us know when it's all over and she's back home. I say all this but I shall also be a wreck when it's Gracie's turn!

Really feel for you Nicky, fingers and toes tightly crossed for Tia :luck: :luck: :luck: I'm sure she will be fine. Grace is in for her spaying on Nov 9th and I was awake in the night worrying about it :( Decided I'd be a pain and insist that they wrap her in her comfort blanket afterwards!
