I would like to thank Liz ( Jakers) and Paul for a great few days at their camp site ,yet a other great stay,although Liz wont thank me for some of theses pics :- :sweating:

Great pics, looks like fun The website is amazing Liz well done :thumbsup: :thumbsup: what happens though if the dog is really afraid of the water, do they tend to get over their fear or do you give up?

All dogs are slightly apprehensive the first time - lifted into a heated pond I would be too :lol: - but they all swim initally with life jackets and once they realise that they can swim there tends to be no stopping them! Tia was the perfect example she would have swam all day if she could!! We don't 'push' the dogs to do anything they don't want to but haven't yet had one that we have given up on. Some dogs 'styles' of swimming are a little splashy but again we have methods of enabling them to swim in a less splashy style.

Although whippets do tend to have the most natural ability for swimming both of mine and all of trac's swim like pros now on the beach and near the sea both of mine will not go near the water!!!

We are all trained k9 hydrotherapists and k9 first aiders so hopefully we shal continue not to experience too much reluctance!
