So sorry to hear such awful news. I really hope that you find help for these pups soon as 12 is a huge number to hand rear :luck: :luck: :luck: to all of them, I think we all wished we were closer to be able to help :(

Poor mum, :( hope everything works out for the little guys :luck:

im in devon which is a shame i have 2 bitches with only four pops each .so they could manage more and also i have my other girl who dutifully produced a phamton ,lol just in case and is desperate for some pups to feed

jusy rang my friend with the pups there doing ok with bottle feeding so far they have a good rota going -_- i do hope these pups will be ok its so upsetting they lost shadow( mum) she was a lovely gentle deer hound

RIP SHADOW :huggles: please keep your fingers crossed for her babbies :luck:

sorry to hear this

In case they are still going to need help with bottle-feeders, how about contacting any local rescue group which might know suitable volunteers?

Cross-species suckling might be a possibility also ;it might be worthwhile contacting farmers or zoos? Though I heard of pups suckled by a sow (pig) who contracted a disease from her. About a year ago a newspaper published a photo of a canine nursing tiger cubs!

So sad...wished I lived closer I'd be over like a shot :- "

thats really sad news.can they get a vet or vet nurse to show them how to tube feed?much quicker and easier too with a large litter  just make sure the tube is in the tummy and not the air passageways before putting the milk in.a vet should be able to show you how to do it.

thats so sad, RIP Shadow :(

iv got everything crossed for the puppies :luck:

i am fairly close in wolverhampton, but have never done any bottle feeding of pups before ( only guinea pigs, baby birds and other small animals) if i can help in anyway please contact me.

good luck to all the pups and i am so sorry for the loss of Shadow.

if i lived closer i'd happily lend my expert puppy bum cleaner,

:luck: :luck: :luck: lots of luck :luck: :luck: :luck:
