Brilliant news :D

Congrats to Rebecca and Ian on their new little people

We fostered a GSD x last year Lesley he was with us for almost 8 weeks. I cried buckets the day he went to his new home but it was the right thing to do for him. He goes bananas every time he sees Gary & I and Star always wants to go and play with him. They will remember you as someone who cared for and looked after them, and will certainly not feel let down by you at all. (you nutter :huggles: ) The next time you see them they will be more confident, settled with their new family, and happy to give you whippy kisses.

Well done to everyone involved.

K9 may be responsible for no-one spending time with their OH, and no housework :x getting done, but this makes it all worth while!

Bet the house seems empty with *only* 4 now :- "

Lesley, If K9 gave honours you would be first in line. You, Debs, Dawn and Dawn

have given Meg and Bracken the chance of a family of their own forever. You are a star. Well Done to everyone.

Jenny

Thanks everyone I am really happy honest :D I was just upset when they left :( The fitted in tooooo well and it seemed like they had been here for ages, but even a puppy addict like me knows her limitations (w00t)

I feel a lot better after speaking to Becky too, and she is going to put some pics on tomorrow

Well done Lesley and all who were involved  :huggles: ....You go girls ;) :D ........I'm so glad that Bracken and Meg have found such a nice home  .....WELL DONE ALL again

I just want to give credit to the Calenna gang  who are so tolerant of all things and accepted Meg and Bracken into their home with no fuss, I am so proud of them :huggles: :huggles:

And of course my OH Andy and son Jordan who are so tolerant of me o:) :teehee:

I would also like to say a big thankyou to Nigel(mcfc )and Shirl for offering to look after Meg for a bit if things got too much for the boys with her season, it's really appreciated :huggles:

Everyone involved in making Bracken & Meg safe has done a wonderful thing and you should all be pleased. The dogs will now have a good life which will be secure and loving. Well done all.

Becky and Ian I hope that Bracken & Meg give you years of pleasure. o:) o:) Saints the both of you.

Dear Lesley,

Thank you for finding us a forever home.

Love

Meg & Bracken

Hi Lesley & all at K9,

This will be short, as we are aboslutely shattered!

Bracken is fast asleep in front of the log fire, not far from Meg, who is in the crate, for her own safely, as Alfie has found the love of his life!

Rosie is asleep guarding her sofa..........all is well and peaceful

we are going to bed, as it's been a long day for humans and whippets

photos tomorrow

Thanks everyone

Becky & Ian

Lesley & co - good on you for helping out these two lovelies. Thank you on behalf of all of us. Is there any clue to who bred them? From the little bit I've seen of them they look like sound types.

Rebecca & Ian - congrats on beautiful additions to your four legged family. Thank You, again on behalf of all of us.

I don't want to sound like a detractor - I just want to offer a word of advice. I don't know you and I don't know how much experience you've had with dogs and bitches in season. If you're well versed in these situations then please just disregard me and do your own thing.

I would just watch Alfie and Bracken carefully. Bracken has come with "his girl" into your family and Alfie thinks that 'this girl' has been brought into the home to be 'his girl'. The fact that all was good at Lesley's leads me to think that Meg was at the beginning of her season and not at the height of it. Things could get a bit touchy between the boys when Meg is 'right on'. Of course they may not bother each other at all - but I just want you to be cautious. I would hate to see the boys get on the wrong side of each other from the start.

Best of luck with it all

Can't wait for the pics :D everythings sounds quiet so far -_-

Thanks lana don't worry, we've had lots of talks and Becky and Ian have mum next door for meg if things get too silly  Bracken is very laid back to be honest and loves human company so I think he will be happy aslong as he has a human fussing over him

And Becky and Ian have taken time off work to settle them in which is wonderful :huggles: :huggles:

I just want to say Thankyou to Rebecca and Ian for giving this story such a happy ending. This is what being a whippeteer is all about, looking out for our breed.

The K9 rescue fund will continue and after a chat with Debs and Lesley we are thinking about getting together a list of people who are willing to foster, if it hadnt been for lesley this time who took meg and Bracken in at such short notice the senario could have been much different.

The list of course would be confidential and if it was posted on the board for people to add their name too that is all there would be a name no location, that part would be sent via pm to the person keeping the list so it wouldn't be a case of having your address or anything plastered all over the internet.

What do you think?

:huggles: :huggles: :huggles: for Meg and Bracken and Rebecca and Ian and not forgetting Rosie and Alfie

The Calenna gang are little stars!!
