Aw bless him  He looks rather comfy there. I don't suppose at such a young age his sense of smell is very well developed (w00t)

It is a sweet photo, but (ducking from the backlash) I actually find it a bit worrying myself :(

I'll probably get some backlash too, but these pups are what? 7 days old?

Personally I am seriously shocked that a pup that young is in a situation where it can wander around in it's blind state onto a dirty trainer, over I don't know what else.

Sorry, but it seems unacceptable to me.

THERE WAS NO WHAT ELSE TC THE PUP WAS IN THE TRAINER FOR A MATTER OF SECONDS I'M SORRY BUT YOU MAY WASH YOUR TRAINERS EVERY TIME YOU WERE THEM BUT I DON'T THE PUPS WERE ON A BLANKET AND WERE BEING SUPERVISED I HAD GONE INTO THE KITCHEN TO LET THEIR MOTHER OUT FOR A WEE I WOULD RATHER MY PUPS TO BE WITH ME AND SOCIALISED THEN SHUT AWAY IN A PEN ON THEIR OWN

I'M SORRY IF YOU AND CHELYNNAH DON'T FIND IT ACCEPTABLE BUT THERE WAS NO PUP HARMED DURING THE TAKING OF THIS PHOTO SO BUT OUT AND KEEP YOUR OPINIONS TO YOUR SELF

Hi Oakmoorehill,

All my trainers are dirty...I wear them! That said I would not have a 7 day old puppy in a situation where they could get near them.

I'm really sorry, but in my opinion, and I'm not being over cautious, puppies of that age need to be kept on nice clean vetbed and away from germs etc.

I'm not saying my house is spotless either, far from it, and I would not allow pups to drag themselves over my carpets. They would be in a much more sanitary environment away from potential threats. Do you know exactly where those trainers have been and what they may have picked up?? It wasn't about criticising the trainers, it was about common sense and good animal husbandry.

I think the silence on this thread is a good indication that there are actually quite a few people that might agree with myself and Chelynnah.
