I watched Cheat on ITV thought that was very good .
Just finished watching Baptiste on BBC 1 ...i found this programme great ...and the last episode was real edge of seat .....
What about you ....
 
Ive recorded Baptiste and I will get round to watching it.
Just finshed reading Jim Davidsons book about the year he was under investigation for sexual offences.

I m also watching the new Star trek series on Netflix.
 
Oh I want to watch that Baptise!

I’m currently working through any book (I haven’t already read) by Linewood Barclay.
 
Telly highlights: The Yorkshire Vet, Great British Sewing Bee, Bake Off, Portrait Artist of the Year, The Voice, and various music programmes on Sky Arts (usually rock, though the last one we watched was Imelda May). I don't tend to watch drama - it doesn't do it for me.

I'm reading the first of the Lydmouth crime series by Andrew Taylor - I've a feeling I've read some of the series in the past but didn't get into them, but I love his other books so am giving them another go. Also reading Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick's autobiography.

Work books: proofreading one on social work with refugees, editing one on 'stateless' people in the Middle East.
 
One of my fav authors at the moment is Lindsey Davis, only got a few Falco books to read then on to her Flavia Books.
 
@JudyN I forgot the sewing B .. OH cant sew a button on but he loves watching this.
 
OH doesn't like watching Bake-Off because it makes him hungry, but also hated The Yorkshire Vet because it's all innards and poo. My argument is if he watches them on the same evening, one should cancel out the other:D

That Big Nasty was awful!!! Do you reckon they told him to leave because he wasn’t taking it seriously?
 
Maybe he was ill because he ate something he'd made!

TV: I can only watch The Yorkshire Vet when OH is out the room, he thinks it's gross when they have to put their hands up cows butts :rolleyes: ....so only seen a few of them.
Currently catching up of The Supervet, and all the superhero shows (Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow etc.)
I loved Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly but found it unbelievable that he sorted the dogs out in minutes when they were so unruly! :confused:

I should be reading Where The Missing Go by Emma Rowley but find myself in a bit of a reading funk lately, I just can't concentrate :( does anyone else get this?
Like when I read I usually get in the zone and get totally absolutely absorbed in the book and the story whereas at the moment I read and the words just go out my head so I can't remember what's really happening fully after the reading session. I hope it's not just me!

How is The Supervet book? Any good?

Yes, definitely:) He does wear his heart on his sleeve a bit too much for my liking, but his childhood was certainly difficult and explains in part why he's like he is. I've stopped watching his programme, to be honest - the 'Oh not, this is bad, this is very bad, this is the worst joint I've seen ever and I don't know if I can fix it became a bit repetitive, as did the nut, bolts & spanners approach - I actually prefer prolapses and poo, it seems!

That's just me though - if you like the Supervet, you'll love the book.
 
Yeah it sometimes is same old same old isn't it, I still love it though! :D

Although at one point they were blurring out the surgery parts? What's the point in that, that's what you're watching it for! :confused:

maybe the book is worth a try for me then :)

What?? That's ridiculous! Maybe people had complained but if you watch a programme about animal surgery, what do you expect? And what's wrong with hiding behind a cushion or watching through your fingertips? Whicd reminds me, I love 24 Hours in A&E too, though I look away for some bits (mainly injections - how I can watch surgery but not like seeing that needle go in I have no idea).
 
I know! Exactly, if you’re a chicken and don’t like that stuff then don’t watch a programme that is all about that!

I have only watched one or two episodes of 24 Hours in A&E, but I do love that sort of stuff, it’s OH that doesn’t, lol.
That is very strange that you’re fine with blood etc. But not needles lol!
That reminds me of something I used to watch, not sure if it’s still on... Bizzare ER...so gory and good!...and indeed very bizzare!
 
That sounds ominously like 'When surgery goes wrong' or similar.... :confused:
 
I like to watch Ch 4 comedies .
The latest one is Speechless with Minnie Driver playing the mum of a young son with Cerebral palsy . I love it because it takes the micky out of PCness but is never offensive.

Also , Big bang Theory , Young Sheldon, Schooled and The Goldbergs .
The Goldbergs is based on real characters and they show film clips of them from the 80s .

Never seen that but it’s when people go to A&E with strange injuries, like getting their hand mangled by a combine or something

I LOVE The Big Bang Theory!! Currently rewatching it on Netflix for the 100th time! :D:rolleyes: Can’t believe the final season is nearly over :( makes me so sad, it’s the 2nd best sitcom ever...Friends being number 1 obviously :D

I love the Goldbergs!! Such a good programme
