I have sent a text to the mobile number on the thread asking for information about "Victoria" and got reply back almost straight away.

Haven't really got the answer I was looking for but Martina says she has no problem with someone having her but needs to verify that she is a whippet :unsure: ??

Apparently Martina is on a hen night, so I shall text her back and let her know that, whatever happens, the little girl will be able to get out of the pound PDQ!!!!

I'll then get in touch with her again when she can talk or email :teehee: :thumbsup:

I have contacted Martina (or tried to,it's an answering machine) and left a message on behalf of "The Northern Ireland Whippet Club Rescue" saying that we will pay to get this girl out and rehome her ourselves,I have not had a reply as of yet but will keep on trying until I can get to talk to someone directly...though I have a feeling it may well be Monday now before I hear anything as I am not too sure of their hours of business? 

Incidently,Dunboyne do actually have our club "Rescue's" details and contact number already as they were contacted previously regarding the blue bitch with the broken leg that was PTS and they assured us that if they got another whippet in they would contact us.

Let's hope its not too late for this little girl and the club rescue can get her out of the pound and get her a permanent loving :wub: home that she so desperately deserves. Poor wee mite , wish I could share my blankets with her tonight.

Thankyou to everyone that donated and has offered to help this girl. She has untill wednesday and then she can get out. I have a foster girl here with me at the moment and I have also offered to foster this whippet girl if nothing turns up for her.

I have finally got to speak with someone other than a machine! regarding this girl and they have promised to ring me back tomorrow to let me know what the "state of play" is with her ie..if she has been reclaimed by her owner or not,if not we shall hopefully be able to lift her on Monday.

No Kris,the lady that I spoke with said she was a lovely friendly girl & would make someone a wonderful pet,so as soon as I hear anymore I'll let you know.

I've still not heard anything back yet,but the lady that I spoke to yesterday evening did say that she had family commitments on today and might take a while getting back to me,so I shall leave it a little longer before I contact her again.

I have just tried to contact the lady in question again and unfortunately it seems she has been ill for a while and is now in hospital! So it seems like I am back to square one now...I have left another message on Martina's answering machine as she is'nt answering any texts?

I hope she gets back to me soon!

Just off the phone to Martina...if all goes well Victoria will be off to the vets to get speyed and have her first innoculation done on Thursday and then we will pick her up on Saturday. :thumbsup:
