Thats a very nice red bandage........... Freeways going to tell the vet on Monday, when he goes for another change, that he wants a nice red one ! :D

We may have one soon too - x-rays tomorrow for suspected chipped bone now, as it hasn't got any better since it happened :(

No, don't do it

The swine hasn't made any attempt to even lick his bandage in two weeks. This morning he had undressed half his leg in 3 minutes whilst I left him in his crate :- "

Talk about lull you into a false sense of security, he has been watched 24hrs a day for 15 days and you think you're safe to run upstairs and grab the washing, OH NO (w00t)

We are now a very deep shade of purple so hoping that will last a bit longer. The receptionist at the vet laughed her head off when she saw the top of the badage all chewed up this morning. At least I wasn't four minutes so he couldn't get down far enough to uncover the splint and move that, thank God

Very Funny

dylan is spot on thanks! he plays fetch with charlie alot an generally gets up to whippety things! hav'nt taken camera out much lately as its been too gloomy and wet but its starting to clear so wil get some pics up soon!

Finally our plaster pics. The final verdict after the x-ray was a chipped toe, not ligaments, so we now have 3 weeks in plaster, followed by bandaging and lots of hard work trying to stop him from escaping and running around. He is very well himself, and mastered the art of 3 legged walking (running and jumping) within a few hours. We dont' have a lurid covering, although it is gradually turning a fetching shade of dirty yellow, despite covering it in polythene each time he goes out. :x

He also has mastered the art of elegant pathos as you can see

Oh, all these poor dogs and their poorly legs!! :( :(

Zephyr's injury was extremely minor - just a cut foot and a few stitches and a couple of days with a bandage on, but he was rather proud of it as you can see  - or was he trying to impress me in some other way!!!!
