I am sure Pipa's puppy will have lot more colour come through over aperiod of time, definitely on his ears and possibly some pale spots on his body.

We had this discussion on another board. I believe the consensus was that there has been no proven correlation IN WHIPPETS between extreme white and the deaf gene.Pipa said:I am already upset and tried to use simply home metods to check is he deaf or blind ? No, he hears and sees. But does he need a BAER test in anyway to be sure in it?

Most all Whippets can hear a crisp being eaten from 100 metres
kirislin said:I'd just about put money on it that your puppy IS NOT WHITE! I think she is cream. Her nose may appear brown rather than black when she matures. It's an absolutely BEAUTIFUL colour. Please dont worry. Keep her!Lana I know a deaf whippet not far from me. It's a dark fawn parti bred by a well known breeder.
I'e also heard that deafness is a problem in 'extreme white' whippets. They talk about it abit on a US whippet forum.
