Woody has to go back to the vets today as his chest wound has gone horribly wrong. it is very inflamed and fluid has started to build up under the skin.

also in the last few hours the small wound on his back has started to turn red as well.

ok been to vets and fluid has been drained from wound and Woody has another course of antibiotics....that's the good news...

however there is bad news........three years ago Woody had a tumour in his back removed and sent away, we were told there was a fifty fifty chance of it returning and him needing more extensive surgery.

the tumour is back and growing alarmingly...it is a spindle cell sarcoma...he needs to have it removed as soon as possible BUT he also needs to recover from his latest surgery... the vet has put a time limit of two weeks to recover and have the next op.

this isn't unexpected as i noticed at the weekend a lump was appearing again in Woodys back but i was ill during the first surgery so had no idea the cancer was aggressive.

will keep you posted and thanks for all the good wishes. xxxxxxxxx

sending lots of cuddles from us :huggles: :huggles:
