I worm my lot every six months and with puppies they are wormed more frequently

I worm mine every 3-6 months, usually Drontal Nicky..... and just tried the new one on the cats - which you dab at the base of their necks (like Frontline.)

Is this a Drontal product? What's the name of it, I would be interested in it for my cats, I usually use Panacur Favourites on them but they are even getting wise to that now ................ and we all know what cats are like to give pills to!!!!

£11-12 seems a lot to pay for worning tablets. I went to our vets for Murphy's 6 month check up, and got some drontal for him and Ellie and it only cost around £7 - the cheapest visit I ever had. Glad I got the tablets tho cos poor little Murph had round worm, and I had wormed him at 3 months.

This product that I used was perscribed by a vet for the cats, It was Profender ..it covers all types of worms and is placed on the base of the necks.

Great when you cannot get tablets or paste down their necks like mine... :lol:

how effective (and safe) is Milbemax? I asked a vet for Drontal and she suggested Milbemax for easier dosage measurement, one tablet for each of my dogs although they are different sizes. One tablet for dogs between 10 and 25 kg.

Milbemax does not cover uncinaria stenocephala (one of the hookworms) Drontal does all of the worms in the UK

The company Bayer make Drontal and also the Profender too... :thumbsup:
